Amazingly, neither Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D, Nev) nor Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D, Calif) want to give Congress or the public much time to read the upcoming Healthcare bills they are rushing through their respective chambers before forcing a "yes" or "no" vote on them.
In a recent interview, Senator Reid was asked if he'd commit to giving the Senate and the public a week to digest any healthcare "reform" bill before he brought the bill up for a vote. Reid however, refused to make such a commitment.
Reid allowed less than two days before forcing a Senate vote on the stimulus bill and many expect him to do the same with any healthcare legislation. He was unapologetic over refusing to allow his fellows or the public to digest the legislation before the vote.

Right there on the first day of the new Congress at the end of 2010 the first bill should literally be a "bill" sent to both these pukes, payable by them and their heirs through eternity.

The GOP should finally grow a pair and simply walk out if the bill isn’t given proper time for analysis. The marxists have the votes to pass, let’s see if any Dems have the courage to stand up to these stalinist tactics.

No, it is not America. This subverts the principles of representation. Honestly, I think that kind of behavior is grounds for dismissal, if not conviction for subversion.
When Reid asks for Unanimous consent to waive the reading of the bill, all it takes is for one senator to object and the bill will have to be read.
It’s just that simple. But no senators ever do it. Don’t know why. They’re never in the chamber to listen to it anyway.
Unfortunately, I guess the guvmint is like Hollywood in as much as
if you don’t go along with the program you’re not invited to the parties.
Can someone explain to me exactly why millionaires like Ried and Pelosi are for this bill? Is it to create more people who are dependent on government and thus retain power? It’s the only way I see it. And the scary part is, what happens once they have absolute power? We’re almost there now.
When was the last time our elected representatives dutifully read a bill?
I guess I don’t blame Reid and Pelosi for being the traitors they are. That’s a given. I blame moderates and conservatives (the ones who didn’t vote) for putting enough of their ilk in Congress and the Kenyan White House to cut off all debate on the issues. The DemoCRAPs plan is to enact their entire wish list this year (as early as possible) and hope the voters have short memories come election time next year. Keep the Tea Party spirit going!

During the presidential campaign, Barack Obama promised that once a bill was passed by Congress, the White House would post it online for five days before he signed it.
The latest on President Obama, the new administration and other news from Washington and around the nation. “When there’s a bill that ends up on my desk as president, you the public will have five days to look online and find out what’s in it before I sign it, so that you know what your government’s doing,” Mr. Obama said as a candidate, telling voters he would make government more transparent and accountable.
