How an aggressive foreign policy helps America

In recent times, that is, during June of 2009, President Barack Obama has recoiled at efforts at fighting the oppressors in Iran. He has allowed the political situation in Iran to escalate into the crisis it is today. At the time of this writing, protests in the streets have broken out over the rigged election.

The red flags should have been flying in the Commander in Chief’s face already. Iran has been advancing their nuclear weapon program at a dangerously rapid rate, constantly waving the fact at the West. The rest has been very well documented.

Political corruption has been brewing in Iran. It’s been several years. The state of their political stability–or lack thereof–has been shaky ever since the turmoil there during the Carter years. Modern-day Iran has never quite been the great Persia it used to be.

I wish our “dear leader” would meddle in foreign affairs a little more and stop meddling in our healthcare.

Big Government at home and Big Government abroad go hand in hand.

Presidnet 0 shouldn’t be meddling in EITHER one. Iran is a sovereign nation & it’s none of our business what happens.

Let’s turn the situation around for a minute: should Iran, or any other country for that matter, get involved in our own domestic problems? Do they have a right or the responsibility to send troops close to the US for something that happens w/in our own borders? If they don’t, then what makes you think we have the right to do the same?

As the strongest nation on the face of this planet, it is our responsibility to rescue the spots of this world left in the dark under the shadow of tyrants.

No! No! No!

O-Bammy says that we mustn't... "meddle."

Let me get this right. You want to encourage give our Dear Leade even MORE power over our tax dollars to manipulate foreign policy. If so, you are far more trusting of Obama than I am. I am consistent in my distrust of Obama. I don't want him to have more power to play with our tax money either at home or overseas.

One final question. You want to give more power to Obama to meddle overseas: how do you intend to pay for all this?
