Changing the Game: Sarah Palin's New Strategy

When I was about 5 years old, my best friend’s house burned to the ground. Our family was awakened in the middle of the night and I remember looking out the window in my sister’s bedroom watching as my friend’s house was burning. Mother and my sister were both crying while Daddy went to see if he could help our neighbors. I asked my mother why it had happened. I remember her answer as clearly today over 50 years later; she said, “Nobody really knows why bad things happen to good people, but it always seems that it works out that way.”

My mother’s statement has been proven correct over the years in many instances where I have seen good people persecuted without cause. I see it again in what has happened to Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin.

Mrs. Palin’s announcement yesterday that she would not seek re-election came as a great shock to everyone. During Governor Palin’s 17 years of public service, she has done some wonderful things for her State. The text of her announcement is found on the website for the Governor of the State of Alaska (http://www.gov.state.ak.us/exec-column.php). In her own words, Governor Palin outlined some of her administration's accomplishments during her term in office - a rather impressive list that speaks of successful leadership.

-The Palin administration created a petroleum integrity office to oversee safe development. With her leadership, Alaskan’s best interests were protected. In May 2007 Superior Court Judge Sharon Gleason ruled that the state had “persuasively demonstrated that it is in the public interest” for the Department of Natural Resources to terminate the leases held by ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron and ConocoPhillips. The companies were fined $20 million for their lease violations. Now, for the first time in decades, drilling for oil and gas has begun.

don’t forget that ALL things work together for good for those who love God. Not some things, but all things... we might not see it nor acknowledge it, but God said it and He doesn’t waste anything..not one experience, or moment of our lives...

Whatever she does, she’s got my support. If she doesn’t allow me to vote for her in the future, I’ll continue to pray for her and her family.

absolutely.... I don’t know if it is best for anyone, including her, to run for office.... I do know that obamanation is in office now for a purpose, and for me, personally, that purpose was to get me of my backside and back into God’s word and His plans for my life.... (that has been a VERY good outcome.... go figure...) I have never been an activist in politics in my life... but because of obamanation, I’m one now! I would NEVER have thought that to be true of me!!
