How many times can Steny Hoyer blame Bush for what the Democrats "inherited" in one interview? Boehner calls him on it...

This is all the dems have? Blame the last guy?
Things are getting worse fast and that’s all they have?
It’s wearing thin in the court of public opinion.
Hoyer: Stimulus Slow to Create Jobs, But Time is Not Ripe for New Package
The House’s No. 2 Democrat said Sunday that he is not satisfied with the results of the stimulus so far, but it’s too soon to consider a second package since not all of the $787 billion has been released yet.
He said only 130 days have passed since the stimulus was enacted and it needs more time to work.
“I don’t think anybody can honestly say that we’re satisfied with the results so far of the stimulus. But we believe the stimulus was absolutely essential,” Hoyer said on “FOX News Sunday.”
“We have to get the money that is already in the stimulus bill out, and we’re looking at that. ... We certainly want to see how this develops over the next few months.”
But House Minority Leader John Boehner said the president had pledged to stop unemployment before it rose above 8 percent. Last week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the jobless rate is now 9.5 percent, with more than 14 million people out of work.
“The real question is where are the jobs. You can’t spend $800 billion of taxpayer money and not create jobs when you say that’s what the goal was. We haven’t seen the jobs yet,” said Boehner, R-Ohio, who appeared with Hoyer.
Boehner said his home state hasn’t seen one contract yet as a result of infrastructure spending. He added that Republicans had proposed a plan that would have cost half the money and created 4 million jobs, not 2 million that the administration hopes will result.
“This was supposed to be about jobs, jobs, and jobs. And the fact is it turned into nothing more than spending, spending and more spending on a lot of big government bureaucracy,” Boehner said.
Senators say compromise key to health care bill
President Barack Obama is pushing for an Aug. 8 deadline for the Senate and House to vote on proposals that would reduce medical costs and provide coverage for the nearly 50 million of Americans who are uninsured. Obama says he wants to sign a bill by October.
“We’ll get this done because we’re doing it in a bipartisan way,” said Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee. “If we can reach a compromise, we can get this done by Aug. 8 or at least get it out of committee by Aug. 8.”
Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., also a committee member, said compromise is possible but that senators can’t “take things off the table altogether,” a reference to the Democrats’ desire to include a government insurance option.

NOOOOOOOO!!!! COMPROMISE!!!!!!!
Another Republican doing a GREAT job for us!
I agree. The DemocRATS’ whiny “we inherited” gig is getting really old. If they “inherited” a clunker, they should have at least tried to get it running first before trying to drive it down the road to Socialism, U.S.A.
Why does Hoyer call Chris Wallace ‘Tom’ at 4:27?
Does he not know what show he’s on?
He may be senile. He seems lost and confused... thinks it’s 2001 and Bush is president...
Great Line. It applies to all Liberals
Hey. I know a gal in Ohio that does SAP software for a large international cement company.
She has been there 25 years. They are closing the doors.
Where’s them “Shovel ready jobs Barama?”
These folks have weathered Carter and 30 years of DEM BS and now the doors close while Barama flaps his gums.
FUBO!
Another Republican doing a GREAT job for us!
No surprise here! I think Iowa has gone democrap the last 4 or 5 Presidential elections.
Grrr...
Why does no one ever call the dems on the phony “we inherited crap”? Just how long have the dems been in charge of both houses? They created this nightmare and deserve full credit for it.
Here is a clue for the demtards... Let the market regulate itself
Boehner actually did pretty well here.
At the end, he talked about how Republicans are going to make an issue of ‘freedom’ and “how much freedom we have left.”
I was really impressed that he went there, and I look forward to a muscular campaign from Republicans focuses on this issue.
But I wish Boehner had used the word ‘liberty’ instead.
‘Liberty’ should be the GOP’s slogan for 2010, just as ‘Change’ was 0bama’s.
We heard a lot about ‘freedom’ from Bush for almost 8 years. ‘Freedom’ is what America has fought for abroad.
‘Liberty’ is what the American Revolution was fought for, and what we must now fight to preserve at home.
I believe it would be helpful if the GOP were to make that distinction, and brand the 2010 campaign with it’s own unique term which distinguishes it from Bush’s agenda and its baggage.
75% of folk like their health care but 87% want reform?
WTF is Hoyer blabbing about?
Boehner: “nothing short of breathtaking”
Boehner is cracking me up recently as he is taking no prisoners approach with the Dems. Now if the squishy McConnell would get a backbone, maybe we could get someplace.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to that AG guy they fired??? That certainly left the front pages quickly.
