On June 29Th, I posted the "Press Turns on Obama and Co.~Video", in which press members laughed in the face of Robert Gibbs as he attempted to con them. This time CBS's Chris Reid and Helen Thomas from Hearst News Service step it up a notch, and show the world what a lying fool Robert Gibbs actually is.

Helen finally awakes from her 46-year stupor, and realizes that Obama is not her beloved JFK.
Hopefully this will spread, let Obama feel the heat. He is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.

Gibbs kept saying “Let’s have this discussion after the Town Hall meeting”. I missed the next day’s briefing. Did anyone see it? What happened? Did they hit Gibbs on the fact that the people who were selected all worked for the DNC or some group associated with Demos?

Not nearly as amazed as I am at the people who believed it when 0 promised openness and transparency.
Staged 'Town Hall' meetings, pre-selected reporters and questions, blocking simple public documents in the name of 'national security', forcing whistle-blowers to resign -- the list is getting longer.
Gibbs's main faillure in the exchange was he lost sight of the age-old politician tactic when faced with a hostile question -- reword the question to be the one you want, then filibuster while answering it.
The neat part was when he tried to turn it into a joke on Thomas or Reid, but he was the only one laughing.
The rest of the press room was enjoying watching the feast.
Don't be surprised if there is soon a long, memory-filled program saluting Thomas's long years as a White House reporter, as she has decided it's time to retire (Reid will just be quietly reassigned).
