I respect your opinion but isn’t this kind of triangulation of trying to please everybody and anybody the same thing that has lost us elections especially recent ones?

I didn't say anything about trying to please everyone. I simply think that writing off segments of the population, either because they haven't voted for Republicans in the past, or because they'd don't agree with Republican principles 100%, is a stupid strategy.

There may be some folks who don't agree with everything, but might be willing to entertain the notion of voting for Republicans. But if all they see is angry, nasty conservatives decrying everyone but the pure, they'll either go elsewhere with their votes, or they won't vote at all. Neither of those choices will help Republicans or conservatives. We don't have to change our stances on the issues, just the way we present ourselves when arguing those issues.
