I live near the Silver Lake and Echo Park neighborhoods of Los Angeles. These are two of the most radical left-wing Bohemian neighborhoods in the city. There is no Republican presence to speak of in this area. All political battles are generally speaking between the Trotskyite and Stalinist factions of the local Democrat Party. Every other car has a BHO or Che bumpersticker or decal on it. The preferred vehicles of the elite are Priuses, Elements, mini Coopers, and Volvos. Most people both male and female are covered with tatoos and piercings.
California is no longer Reagan Country. It is BHO country and a third world hell hole. The rest of the country seems to determined to follow our ruinous path of destruction and complete irresponsibility. Here in this wacky state police officers are not permitted to ask suspects if they are legally in this country. Voters are not asked for ID when they go to vote. Farmers in desperate need of water are denied it order to protect the Delta Smelt, a non-native fish smaller than a minnow. California is blessed with an abundance of billions of barrels of oil but the straightjacket environmentalists will not allow us to drill for it. This place truly is an insane asylum and the inmates are running the place. We are home to Barbara Boxer, Maxine Waters, Henry Waxman, the truly mad Pete Stark, Mayor Don Juan Villaraigosa and the deranged psychos of Hollyweird. Bizarre freaks like MJ are glorified and worshipped in this twisted state and truly talented and gifted actors like Karl Malden are all but forgotten.
Rather than retreating, I've decided to fight back. I make it a point to wear my Imagine No Liberals tee shirt when my wife takes me to Whole Foods Market. I have put a Stop Global Whining bumpersticker on my car. My middle finger automatically stiffens every time I see a BHO bumper sticker. I am writing checks to conservative political candidates and I will be volunteering my time in next year's midterm elections. The more I feel outnumbered, the more determined I am to fight to this madness and insanity.
Think MJ was a freak show? Try being someone who believes in limited government, free market capitalism, and traditional values in my area. I am the true freak show and nonconformist in this area. And I'm holding my ground!
LOL, that’s true about those neighborhoods - they’re all commie, enviro-wackos and homosexuals who spend their times alternatively between being set-designers and artists for low-budget indy films and being on unemployment.

There are more of us than you think. Most of us are good with a gun and ten times more likely to survive in the harsh times ahead than they.
The people who survive to the harsh times ahead will not be as dead headed as the libs are today. Their liberal teachers who have brainwashed this generation will have their philosophy eliminated.
Pass on your knwoledge and wisdom to some in the next generation. Being able to communicate to the young ones will make you more happy and contribute to the ultimate elimination of the loser’s socialism.

Where should I go? BHO and the Democrat Congress are doing precisely to the rest of the country what the liberals have already done to California. Read Patrick Buchanan’s column today for further confirmation of this. I was always hoping the rest of the country would learn from and avoid California’s ruinous mistakes. All these hopes vanished after November 4, 2008. We are ALL in the same boat now. There is now just one difference between what is currently happening in Sacramento and what is happening in Washington: In Sacramento they are spending billions of dollars we don’t have. In Washington they are spending TRILLIONS of dollars we don’t have.

I'm not that good at distinguishing between different flavors of commies. Would that be the Stalinists with the BHO stickers, and the Trotskyites with Che, or the other way around?

BTW— California really was a great place when I moved here 25 years ago. It really was Reagan Country and in many ways a paradise. Or at least as much of a paradise that you could possibly find in a heavily urbanized industrial state.
You're thinking of "conservative" politicians, this guy's more of a grass-roots conservative.
