Jackson flourished under Reagan, died under Obama

RUSH: Michael Jackson. I have an observation. I have an observation about this Michael Jackson thing, not about the details of his death or anything. Jackson's success, if you stop and think of it -- and this is going to really irritate some people, which I will enjoy doing -- Jackson's success paralleled the rebound of the United States under Ronaldus Magnus. Michael Jackson's biggest successes, and as it turns out his final successes, real successes took place in the eighties. That was Billie Jean, Thriller and all this. I mean he was as weird as he could be but he was profoundly, because of his weirdness, an individual. He wasn't a group member. He reached a level of success that may never be equaled. He flourished under Reagan; he languished under Clinton-Bush; and died under Obama. Let's hope the parallel does not continue.

I did just say it. You want me to go back and say it again? Okay, Michael Jackson's a weirdo. As such he was a supreme individual. I mean, he defined individuality. Not a group member. He reached a level of success that may never be equaled. He flourished under Reagan, languished under Clinton and Bush, and died under Obama. I mean facts are facts, the timeline is the timeline, let's hope the parallel doesn't continue.

Now, I meant to get into this yesterday, ladies and gentlemen. This is from State-Run Associated Press. By the way, you know something I've noticed? You should look for this, folks. You might have trouble finding it. You have to trust me. More and more -- (interruption) what do you mean you can't believe I said it? I said it twice. What about it is not true? What about what I said is not true? He flourished under Reagan, languished under Clinton and Bush, that's bipartisan, got a Republican and Democrat in there, and died under Obama. Michael Jackson died during the era of the first black president. You want me to say it that way? Now, don't interrupt me anymore. I'm doing a program here. This is the problem when the host and the boss, I, give access to the staff members to me via IFB intercom that you can't hear.

I remember arguing with a leftist 10 years ago about this... he wouldn't admit to positive results by Ronald Reagan... not even the demise of U.S.S.R... these are the folks that voted for the big Zero!

I never saw this picture before... and you know what? I just bet MJ was comfortable hanging out with Ronald Reagan... because RR celebrated individualism and achievement... RIP...

‘and died under Obama. Let’s hope the parallel does not continue.’

Interesting. MJ thrived as a black man under Reagan, and died as a white woman under Nobama. Gotta love Rush. :-)

Hmmmm there might be something to this --- Elvis had his biggest success under Eisenhower, languished under LBJ/Nixon, and died under Carter ......

Likewise, The Beatles had their biggest success under LBJ, and ummmm ... uhhh, oh well, there goes *that* theory ....

I won't be surprised if it turned out Obama had him offed because he wouldn't perform at his immaculation ceremony.

Good analysis.

Too bad that McCain and Palin did not have Michael Jackson with them on the campaign trail.

That's great as a comedy/satire line. But realistically, politics and even economics have to take a backseat to Michael's psyche and place in the life cycle and the dynamics of the music industry.

It's rare when a musical sensation can come back bigger than ever after his or her initial success, and Michael had such personal problems that it would be even harder for him to manage even a more modest staying power, as Madonna did.

Moreover, there was something about the time: disco was dead but dance music and video clips were bigger than before. It would have been hard for Michael Jackson in a grunge or hip-hop dominated era -- not impossible, but not easy either.

The Obama administration, along with Reid and Pelosi, were behind the assassination of Michael Jackson, in order to co-opt the media, to be able to get "cap and trade" and health care "reform" passed without anybody noticing.

Jackson flourished under Reagan, died under Obama and became a sexual pervert under Clinton..

Ooh that just sounds wrong...er...believable, but wrong.
