Some are calling him America's Susan Boyle.
This is the heart and soul of America and the American Dream.
An out of work simple backwoods redneck farm boy walks onto the stage amidst laughs and jeers...
But then he begins to sing.
Soon the big city Chicago crowd that mocked him based on nothing more than his appearance and his accent is floored.
Jaws drop.
Tears fall.
The crowd rises to their feet.
Kevin Skinner is off to Vegas - the dream lives on...

Being from the beautiful state of Kentucky I am so tired of the stereotype that hangs over its residents. Because we talk a little different we are automatically stupid. The back stage hosts mocking was deplorable. He wouldn’t appreciate me mocking his kind.

I just listened to Garth Brooks doing that song, and Kevin was better.
Is he a better singer than Brooks? Probably not, but his performance was much mo’ betta.
