Get real .... Obama never met a Leftist totalitarian dictator that he didn’t like. The official U.S. position is ... Re-instate the Dictator, screw the people...

I tell you this country’s best days are behind it for sure. No longer can anyone say that we are a beacon for those searching for Freedom and Libery.

Obama has extinguished the light of Liberty that has been held high for so long.

Look what the guy was trying to change the constitution so that he could serve more terms... Kind of like we can expect from Obama in the near future....

The anti-Zelaya protestors appear to have much larger numbers than the pro-commie dudes doing their photo op poses...

In all this chatter about the “coup” in Honduras, the reality is that the Chavists in this country and in Latin America are getting ready to mount a coup, to impose a Chavist president on the Hondurans.

Zelaya was impeached and removed for his attempt to throw out the Honduran constitution. If only the Venezuelans had had the grit to do the same. Chavez threw out the Venezuelan constitution, fired the Supreme Court, and fired the congress all on the same day, and he did it from the podium on inauguration day. The congress and Supreme Court ought to have immediately in that moment ordered his arrest; instead they shrugged and cleaned out their desk drawers and went home. Thats how a dictator takes power, when good people shrug and let him.

VZ has much more military power than we think (Iran has been supplying them with tons of goodies) but I don’t think they’d dare attack unless they get the go-ahead from Obama. I was wondering if he’d try sending US troops into Honduras, where we already have a base, to try to restore the Commie Zelaya.

I hope not, but I think that might be his goal.

Yeah, he WAS voting present, until Chavez told him to do something. The latest is:

he United States, he said, will work the Organization of American States and other bodies to try to resolve the conflict peacefully.

The OAS was holding an emergency session on the crisis Tuesday.

They do and they also don't appear to be either the rich or the scuzzy ACORN type agitators. They look like ordinary working folk to me. I think the Honduran middle class remembers what it was like to live under a dictator and how hard and far they have come in a relatively short time.

Most Americans, I hate to say, are too fat, lazy and ignorant to appreciate what it is that our representative republican form of government protects us from and gives us opportunities for.

‘the Organization of American States and other bodies to try to resolve the conflict peacefully.’

From everything I’ve read, the matter WAS handled peacefully. The military took the President, didn’t harm him as far as we know, and got him out of the way so the country could return to semi-normalcy. The final judgement on this matter was rendered by the Honduran Supreme Court and the country’s Congress according to Honduran law. All in all, Honduras gets an ‘A’ for taking a bad situation and dealing with it without a bloodbath taking place.

I don’t think they’d dare attack unless they get the go-ahead from Obama.

I don't either, and I don't think it would be done with uniformed troops. It would be done with rioters to make the country ungovernable, a solid wall of press hysteria, aid money above the table and suitcases of money under the table.

Having written that, it strikes me that it sounds a lot like the ACORN model, which sounds a lot like the Chavist model. I suppose by now its textbook stuff.

I don't know if they will do it, but if they do, thats how I think it would be done. Something similar is how they did it in Bolivia, and Ecuador.

I came into the work force in the mid-’70s so I know just what they’re in for. Maybe that will help them realize that liberal policies don’t work.
