My thoughts...we are still entitled to them, whether you agree with me or not. Thanks!

Instead of jumping ship to Libertarian or some such party.. fix the Republican Party.. No more RINOs.. before it’s too late and Obama makes himself Prez for life.

Nope. Already quit the party. They can kiss my a** goodbye. I have no desire to run for office and I am certainly not going to support the majority that are in there. I will sit back and wait for leadership (Palin, hopefully) but the stench of Washington is too much.

Will I vote Republican? Probably, but it depends. They certainly aren’t getting my money. The only thing I hear out of the GOP is Dem-Lite. The same old cronies begging for money so they can keep their Georgetown pads.

Where is the GOP asking for term limits? Massive budget cuts? States rights?

Crickets chirping...time to rethink the country and what needs to take place.

I vote conservative.

If the republican is conservative, then I will vote for them. If not, I won't.

No more compromise. I saw what that got us.

My view is that we need to take the party BACK and return it to its conservative roots. Boot out all the RINOs. Don’t give money to the party, rather to specific candidates that are conservative. When you get a fundraising letter from the RNC or the NRSC, return it (on their dime), send NO money, and tell them why. We can turn the party around, we can take it back. It is just going to take time and hard work. As much as it pains me to say this, we can take a page from the Dem playbook. Keep driving home our values and ideas, give no quarter, and bring people on board from the local level on up.

Whether Obama knows this or not, he has become a HUGE rallying cry for people. His over-reaching with this descent into socialism he thinks we are going to let him accomplish will be his political undoing. He does not understand that we are not Europeans. We are wholly different. We are Americans and at the core of who we are, we long for and love liberty. We love and are proud of this country. It is going to take the waking up of our people to right this ship. If we all work hard and do our part, I think we can deliver the Dems a landslide defeat, the likes of which they haven’t seen since Reagan handed their asses to them.

I would say most of us agree.

Concurring bump.

Toss most of the early primaries (except N.H.) back into Super Tuesday or later, preferably later.

So what if a bunch of primaries get moved from February to April? Don't worry about the dates! Debate the damned issues!

I'd also adopt intraparty spending rules and limitations (okay, you can talk me out of it) because I don't want East Coast money to dictate the candidate any more. We've seen how that movie plays with Bob Dole and John McCain.

If you don't want spending limits, do you have an idea on how to allow less-moneyed candidates supporting more popular positions to get competitive? Used to be they were, on their messages, before money and fundraising and PAC's and 527's took over.

Comments? Solutions? Or do we just let George Soros pick the Republican nominee as well next time? (Oh, wait -- we already did that.)

I haven’t quit the ‘pubbie party yet, but I’m certainly not giving them any money. They have to purge thier ranks of RINOs (especially in leadership) to ever win again. If they cannot purge to my satisfaction, they’ll never get money from me again-! Sarah Palin is the one I like most so far...

I’m not jumping ship; make the faux conservatives in the party walk the plank.

You know. It's your blog. You could post more than one ambiguous sentence to explain what you mean.

At this point I won't go to it.

If an election is between a Republican and a Democrat, there is no choice.

Agreed. The GOP is owned and staffed by liberals picked by the eleitist liberal RNC as President Bush proved.
