Obama's Honduras HYPOCRISY
Washington Post/The Lid ^ | 6/28/09 | The Lid

Remember these famous words by President Obama?

“It is not productive, given the history of US-Iranian relations, to be seen as meddling -- the US president, meddling in Iranian elections, When I see violence directed at peaceful protesters, when I see peaceful dissent being suppressed -- wherever that takes place -- it is a concern to me and it is a concern to the American people,” the US president stated.

Apparently our commander-in-chief only believes in not meddling in the internal affairs of Islamic Republics that he desperately wants to negotiate with. According to the Wall Street Journal the US was very involved in trying to discourage the coup that took place in Honduras.

The Obama administration and members of the Organization of American States had worked for weeks to try to avert any moves to overthrow President Zelaya, said senior U.S. officials.

Weeks ... perhaps this is the reason behind that increased activity we discussed. Any chance they were TR-1 flights?

well, you see, the rule is simple
If its a leftist leader, then no interferance e.g Iran
If its anti-leftist trying to grab control, then interfere

Yes, Obama is much like the IRS. He’s only effective using Bluff and Threats.

He’s on a knife’s edge. If he is ever deposed from office for any reason his only real play will be the Race Card. It’s in his pocket and goes with him wherever he goes.

Obama's Honduras HYPOCRISY

There, fixed it. Now we can save time by re-using the same title on many, many stories. ;-)

obama seems to be pretty selective of the governments and societies he wants to meddle in, and those he claims to want to leave alone. Me, I think he wants to be ruler of a socialist world, but he may be willing to wait a year or two to put that together.

Do you think this is indicative of some deeper prejudice regarding Iran vs Honduras? Or is this another case of on-the-job training for the great inexperienced naive one? After he got publicly spanked over Iran, he tries to come out tough on Honduras?

It wasn’t a coup. Stop calling it that. You’re carrying water for the commies.

It’s not a coup when they follow the procedure set forth in the constitution to depose el presidente, even if the result deposes an ally of Obama and Hugo.
