Tide Turning on Cap and Trade, Battle Moves to Senate
Columbia Conservative Examiner ^ | June 28, 2009 | Anthony G. Martin

As the voters discover Al Gore's lies on 'global warming,' there are reports of mounting pressure from the citizens to defeat the 'cap-and-trade' energy tax bill that now moves to the Senate. Citizens inundated Washington with calls, faxes, and emails as the House debated the issue. Most Democrats still turned a deaf ear. But as the Senate readies to take up the matter, the citizens are set to stage a massive campaign to pressure Senators into voting against the bill. And they should. The entire thing is based upon lies.

The Senate is full of braindead old buffoons. I just don’t get any “warm fuzzies” about the Cap’n Tax going on to the Senate.

Don't assume this bill will fail in the Senate. Start inundating Senators first thing Monday morning with phone calls, emails and faxes and keep up the pressure every day. It must be sustained right through to the vote! They will be on recess, back at home, so pour on the pressure! Demand meetings etc... Toll free capital switchboard numbers are below.

“The Senate is full of braindead old buffoons.”

But, then you have the likes of the 100 year old Byrd from WV where coal is King Coal. That trumps his Sinate Pals!

Our representatives and senators need removed, not pressured. They no longer respond to citizen demands as they have purchased enough votes over the decades to be able to ignore an upset public. A few weeks of MSM lies and the public is put back in its place of total ignorance. No problem. We have a tyrannical government.

What is scary is that if this is defeated in the Senate, it srill isnt over.

It will go to a mediation where they iron out what they cannot get away with and approve it as a later version.

Its isnt dead. Like it should be.

I think it is now time that we demand all congressional votes be placed from the Congressman’s home district. we live in the electronic age. All debate can be done in Washington, but Congress should ADJOURN TO DISTRICTS AND VOTES BE PLACED IN THE MIDST OF THE GOVERNED. This would eliminate the dickering, arm twisting and bargaining that goes on.

I agree, The fix” is in on this one.
Soros money will buy any Senator they need to ensure the messiah qualifies for a Nobel for his landmark “environmental protection bill”.
Plus the marxists need the revenue from a national energy tax to takeover the healthcare system. Which also the fix is already in.

All hail obama.

Nooses seem to me like good removal tools.
After all, very few people who have been executed become repeat offenders.

I don’t think the American people know that this is a fraud at all. If Algore say’s “it’s real”, he is quoting GA Jimmuh about the 1977 “energy crisis”.

Still the purpose of Lindsey Graham is to make Strom Thurmond look better by comparison.

Greenpeace Opposes Waxman-Markey

How long will it take the environmental idealists realize they’ve been co-opted and are soon to be left in the lurch by the community organizer? The ones that won’t be feathering their nest, I mean, of course. Or, will they just sulk silently.

Did you see this Jun 26 report from CBS News? http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/26/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5117890.shtml

It says: “The Environmental Protection Agency may have suppressed an internal report that was skeptical of claims about global warming, including whether carbon dioxide must be strictly regulated by the federal government, according to a series of newly disclosed e-mail messages.
Less than two weeks before the agency formally submitted its pro-regulation recommendation to the White House, an EPA center director quashed a 98-page report that warned against making hasty “decisions based on a scientific hypothesis that does not appear to explain most of the available data.”

The EPA official, Al McGartland, said in an e-mail message to a staff researcher on March 17: “The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward... and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision.”
