Weak-kneed Opponents Waiting On Governor Palin to Make A Move
Governor Palin 4 President ^

Republicans & Democrats across Alaska are lining up to run for governor amid speculation that Governor Palin will not seek reelection in 2010. No candidate has yet filed papers with the Alaska Public Offices Commission. Governor Palin’s office declined an opportunity to explain her thinking on the 2010 race, & the Republican Governors Association said it would not comment on discussions it has had with the governor.

Sarah will be out campaigning for CONSERVATIVE candidates in 2010, thus solidifying her 2012 nomination and election as POTUS.

Advantages: Running for re-election in 2010 -

- Prove that victory in 2006 wasn't a fluke
- Get more experience under belt with a 2nd term
- Support states' rights against an overreaching federal government by remaining Governor
- Silence critics, especially the RINOs like Huckabee and Pawlenty who'll say she only has one term of office

Disadvantages: Running for re-election in 2010 -

- Presidential election start mere months after Palin is sworn in for 2nd term; it'll be hard to get off the ground campaigning
- Alaska is far away from the lower 48, difficult and more expensive to travel, so she can't be Governor and run for President
- Opponents in Alaska will say she won't serve out her 2nd term and accuse her of being an opportunist

That was well put. She has to decide if she will run for prez. She will NOT be VP on the ticket again. 2012 will be tougher, as the possible crop of candidates is better. Sanford, Jindal, Palin are all better than Huckabee, McCain, Thompson, Romney and Giuliani.

If the stars don't align for her getting the nomination, she can still be a king-maker in a close primary, and she would fit in well as a high profile Energy Secretary in a Jindal or Sanford administration.

Bobby Jindal has asked that all presidential draft efforts for 2012 be halted.

"Bobby Jindal has asked that all presidential draft efforts for 2012 be halted."

Yea, he's hoping for a Mulligan on his limp-wristed speech.

Jindal and Sanford are history.

You said — Presidential election start mere months after Palin is sworn in for 2nd term; it’ll be hard to get off the ground campaigning

I think that it’s too early for her to go for a top-of-the-ticket Presidential campaign. I think she should go for governor again and then build up her base for the next time around...

The woman can draw a crowd of 20,000 people with little effort. We need her NOW. There may not be a United States by the time you think she should run.

Sure would like to see her come to VA to support Bob McDonnell. We could use the energy.
