The "government" as a competitor against private institutions is an idiotic idea.

Much of the reason our health care costs are so high is because the government has done so much to prevent competition and push third payer systems.

In a free economy, the government should NEVER compete with private business.

But, this isn’t a free economy anymore, is it?

OBAMA is not telling the American people that with a government health program the people will not be able to sue the government like they can with private health insurance.

And agency of the US that does not provide a good or service but only regulation and bureaucracy is not competition, it is a monopoly and a violation of the spirit of the anti-trust laws.

Competetion? The zero’s plan is to make government insurance so cheap (via taxpayer subsidies) that it will literally drive all the others out of business that then government medicine will be the only game in town.

If it can’t be sold as one thing, market it under a different name.

That has always been the leftists strategy.

Is it true that the insurance companies are for the BO government health care plan? I heard that the plan would require people to buy insurance so the insurance companies were okay with the plan.

Subsidized competition is unfair competition. Not to mention inefficient competition.
