While we have politicians like Mitt Romney making ignorant statements about jihad not being part of Islam, Geert Wilder who speaks the truth about Islam has lead his party to a strong second place finish in the Netherlands. The tide is turning.

I guess I don’t understand Dutch politics. Doesn’t coming in second place mean you lost?

It's a multi-party parliamentary system. It's not like ours. It translates to significantly more influence.
To: Islaminaction
But what will be the governing party coalition ? If it’s pro-Mohammadan, that’s not good.

Is is like our senate, but with more than 2 parties.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliament_of_the_Netherlands
“Polls issued by the ANP news agency and broadcaster NOS put the Freedom Party of Geert Wilders in second place in the Netherlands, with more than 15 percent of votes and four of the 25 Dutch seats in parliament. It had none in the last assembly.”
So even though he finished second, his party actually advanced.
To: fieldmarshaldj
Not sure on that yet. But at least Widlers gained 4 seats, so we are heading in the right direction.
To: Blackhawk
Compared to all the Parliamentary systems in Europe, our “winner take all” is very unusual. A strong second is very good, not a loss.

Ol' Geert Wilders better watch out.
The new/old EUrotopia Treaty/Constitution outlaws zenophobia.
The EU even pressured the entire Austrian government, after Jorg Haider's Freedom Party (nationalist, anti-immigration, and anti-EU views) and the People's Party formed a coalition government, to form a different government. Drove Haider to commit suicide.

There's going to a strong coalition forming in Brussels for the coming years, and there's going to be some unlikely allegiances too, wait and see!
Things are changing here.

Britain’s FPTP system is very much ‘winner takes all’...
