I have a question re: the shooting of the soldiers in Arkansas...

Posted on 06/03/2009 7:00:36 AM PDT by republicanbred

All I want to know is, did Obama release a statment regarding the shooting of the soldiers in Arkansas as he did with the death of Tiller?

Obama's statements can be found at The White House Statements and Releases

His statement on Tiller is currently on page 2. There is no mention of the soldiers shot in Little Rock.

Hell No!

Bastard said more words for Tiller and his killer than his own troops. SAYS VOLUMES FOR THE CINC!

Great question. Perhaps when the Army buys him a mansion, or pays his debts, or wires 6 or 7 figures to a Swiss account, perhaps then he will its spokesman.

I want to know why NO ONE in the media is asking why he has not made a statement.

Even Jeffrey Goldberg of the left-leaning Atlantic magazine noticed the double standards. He called attention to a National Public Radio report on the military recruiter attack that failed to mention the religion and anti-military animus of the suspect. Wrote Goldberg: “Why not tell people what is actually happening in the world? We saw this a couple of weeks ago, when the press only gingerly acknowledged that the malevolent though incompetent suspects in the synagogue bombing-conspiracy case in New York were converts to Islam. How is the public served by this kind of silence? The extremist Christian beliefs of George Tiller’s alleged murderer are certainly relevant to that case, and no one in my profession is hesitant to discuss them. Why the hesitancy to talk about the motivations of the man who allegedly killed Pvt. William Long?”

No. I heard that a spokesman sid it was because they were investigating whether there was a larger conspiracy in the recruiter case.

This pins Obama down either way. Either it’s just a lie, OR it’s an admission that the Tiller shooting is one isolated incident but the attack on the recruiters is not.

God bless our military. After last November’s election I’m not sure many of my fellow Americans are worthy of their many sacrifices for us.

Our Commander in Chief is MIA.

Nothing from the Pentagon, DOD or the newly appointed Secretary of the Army, either.

According to Malkin’s site: No.

I don’t think the GI who was murdered was a big campaign contributor.

Secondly, Obama believes that abortion providers merely provide “choice.” If he is a typical leftie, he believes it is the US troops that are “baby killers.”

Congratulations, America.

And a great statement it was pookie18.

Here it is:

The stories of two very different lives with similar fates crossed through the media’s hands yesterday - both equally important but one lacked the proper attention. The death of 67-year old George Tiller was unacceptable, but equally disgusting was another death that police believe was politically and religiously motivated as well.

William Long died yesterday. The 23-year old Army Recruiter was gunned down by a fanatic; another fellow soldier was wounded in the ambush. The soldiers had just completed their basic training and were talking to potential recruits, just as my son, Track, once did.

Whatever titles we give these murderers, both deserve our attention. Violence like that is no way to solve a political dispute nor a religious one. And the fanatics on all sides do great disservice when they confuse dissention with rage and death.”
