Maybe. Maybe not. He's still enjoying over a 60% approval rating by every pollster I've seen. Sure, his negatives are increasing, but that's reflective the people who didn't like him in the first place feeling even more strongly about it now.

I'll feel much more confident about the GOP's chances when Obama's approval rating drop to 50% or less.

By comparison, Clinton's approval ratings reached their lowest levels (less than 40%) before the '94 midterms, leading to a bloodbath in the House. If Obama continues to enjoy above 55% approval rating, the GOP's outlook for 2010 won't be good.

I witnessed a couple of old hippies at Blockbuster engaged in a heated and animated discussion re. Obama. The part I overheard was the frustration of this old lefty with all his associates who felt they had to vote Obama because he was black. But on the other hand Pravda is welcoming Obama to the Marxist fold.

It's a shame and it's hard to believe but there are a lot out there who may not have a clue to what's going on, may not know the difference between capitalism and socialism, may not know what district they are in or who their reps are but they are being fed a bunch of crap by the dem propaganda machine and believe Obama is the savior. They see no negatives other than the racist republicans beating up on their man. Common sense and reason doesn't affect people who don't think for themselves. Look at the muslim world. Dem voters are no different from radical muslim. They are offended at anything negative targeted at their leader, whether justified or not. Soon we'll see riots from these deaf and blind idiots whenever their leader is bashed. I'm almost 70 and I never expected until now that I'd see a revolution in my country. I am confident now that I'll actually see it happen.
