The constitution means nothing to the Dems. It’s all about advancing their agenda.
When Democrats ruthless smear conservatives blacks, hispanics, women....it is not sexist or racist. But when conservatives raise legitimate issues and oppose a Democrat, it is racist....Gee, no hypocrisy here...move on.
I am citing one of the comments made to the article from “Texas Rose” and my responses to her comment. The rampant stupidity of the overwhelming majority of the American people is the root cause of all of this. If most Americans were interested in the important things in life, the democrats and press wouldn’t be able to get away with their usual skulduggery and hypocrisy.

Democrats will say that we are trying to block Sotomayor because she is Hispanic and tar us a racist. But we will be against her not because of her race, but because of her racists remarks and judicial philosophy and real issues, none of which were there for Estrada. And it was the Democrats who actually DID block a nominee because he was Hispanic. Ironic and hypocritical, but this is always what the lying Democrats do. and they always get away with it because they always have the media to cover for them and carry their water. I am so sick of it and see no way to get around it ever. I have never been so discouraged because this happens just time after time. The Democrats actually are everything they try to say the Republican are — racists, corrupt, liars, idealogue, etc. And the Republicans actually are NOT any of those things. We really are in a topsy turvy world. When a lie is believed as truth and the truth is believed as a lie. It’s just mind-boggling.

Texas Rose, I agree with everything you say except I would amend your sentence to read “...they always get away with it because they always have the media to cover for them and carry their water and because the overwhelming majority of the American people are too stupid to figure any of this out.” Most Americans, like my wife, are much more concerned with and obsessed with “Celebrities” and pop culture rather than the future direction of the country. Case in point — On our kitchen counter is my wife’s In Touch magazine which has an article titled “Which star has a lumpy butt.” My wife probably doesn’t even know who Sotomayor is or what a danger Sotomayor presents to traditional American values and thought.
If any of my fellow FReepers live in a Hispanic town, PLEASE write a letter to the editor to remind Hispanics how the Dems filibustered Estrada four times!
