The Unified School District in Alameda California has passed a curriculum by a 3-2
vote that includes includes a compulsory 45-minute Lesbian Gay Bisexual and
Transgendered (LGBT) lesson for kindergarten through fifth grade. The kindergarten
lesson will study sexual orientation stereotypes with childrens books like "And Tango
Makes Three" a story about two gay male penguins. School Officials say they will not
allow parents to opt their kids out of the program because it falls under "anti-discrimination
provisions of California law.

Here is a video of the School Board Meeting.

They all appear to be well qualified. The one lady Trish, who voted no, went to Berkley. This really should not be a left or right issue. It should be a right and wrong issue. I wrote and thanked Trish and Mike for voting the way they did.

Yeah I remember environmental wackoism coming in public schools and I wasn’t even in a liberal school district. What inoculated me was my appetite for knowledge. When you have been exposed to a wide variety of information related to a topic it is much easier to filter out the crap.

We are here. Ron Prentice and Prop 8 were there. We need to a national organization to help stop this kind of thing. This battle began before Fox news and before conservatives had the resources to really fight back effectively. We have the resources now and we have a public that is getting fed up and tired with the sexual activists. I’m tired myself. It seems the battle never ends whether it be global warming, sexual activism, abortion, or socialism. The irony is that on Abortion, global warming, and sexual activism we have made more progress while actually losing ground in the area of fiscal conservatism. I have a feeling that one of the reason we here so much whining from moderates and stealth liberals is they know this which is why they repeatedly try to shame and intimidate us into giving up.
These issues as long as we stand up they can never win.

Just imagine if the playing field in the media were fair and we could run ads without the lib networks taking them down. If we could present our experts with out having them shouted down and called bigots and haters. That we have held the line so far and have continue to win battles even with a money and resource disadvantage. This drives the left crazy.

If I had children, they would, coincidentally, be out sick the days they taught that curriculum.

The Marxist teachers will not inform the parents as to when this info is scheduled. The parents will learn about it only after the fact, and maybe, not even then.

“My kids are home schooled. Even in central Virginia we have some of the GLSTN (Gay Lesbian Straight Teachers Network). They work under the radar and infiltrate schools many times without the parents knowledge.”

Is their membership list available?

The problem is they are not going to tell you *when* they are teaching your kids this..

This has been the destruction of public education. Teachers who think they know better for your kids than you, and parents who go along with it. More Churches off all sizes need to start non-for profit schools!

I agree they are using the bullying issue to push their social agenda, in point of fact bullying is a serious issue but can be addressed without any specifics..

There should be 200 Church Leaders and 40,000 Church members out in the streets. Where are they?

Homosexuality is more dangerous to humanity’s future than global warming. It can get a few degrees warmer, but it can’t stop reproduction.

I just got back from a homeschool co-op. We had about a dozen kids. More and more people are choosing to homeschool as support groups like ours is increasing. We also have a lot of military families. Homeschooling is also becoming more and more diverse. People from all walks of life are homeschooling. Virginia is especially strong where homeschooling is concerned. I travel a lot and it is very convenient we make our own schedule and have the kids involved in a homeschooling Taekwando program. They are very busy and very well socialized and also test in the top percentiles. It is not as difficult as some think. It is not necessarily for everyone but it is definitely an option for those who want to take the ultimate responsibility for their children’s education rather than leaving it up to the whims of politicians and union Educrats.
