Imagine being told the flag you put up on your office wall to honor your veteran family members was removed because it "offended" a co-worker... Yeah, it happened

At some point, there will be a single American who will stand up. Aggressively. And a much-needed, and much-justifiable firestorm will be unleashed.
So much for “tolerance.”
I like to tell myself that, too. I also think sometimes that maybe the ancient Hebrews told themselves things like that on their way to Babylon, too.
In addition, I can’t believe this happened in MANSFIELD, of all places!
It was NOT merely “Removed” it was taken from where it was displayed on thrown upon the ground!
That is much more offensive, and the woman who threw the flag on the ground should be fired. If anyone gave offense it was that nitwit. The flag should never be put on the ground.
This woman was told that if even one person was offended...
I hope she walked up to each and every office/cubicle and declared some precious item on each desk as “offensive” to her. Maybe then the bosses would see how idiotic that policy is — not holding my breath.
No matter what the Osmonds said — one bad apple *can* spoil all! Unless we’re willing to say to people:
“That means something special to her — maybe you can get past your own “issues” and have some understanding. Isn’t *that* what ‘tolerance’ is all about?”
The woman who threw the flag on the floor should be deported. She’s been here fourteen years.
Looking for “tolerance” in a liberal is like unto looking for fangs in a chicken.
Have at it Freepers....give em Hell!!

KINDRED HEALTHCARE SUPPORTS THE FLAG AND THE SACRIFICES IT REPRESENTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 27, 2009) — Kindred Healthcare (NYSE: KND) is proud of its history of supporting our employees and their families who have served our country through military service. We are sincerely sorry that one incident between two employees gave the perception that we do not respect the flag or the sacrifice it represents.
It is neither the policy of Kindred Healthcare nor Kindred Hospital Mansfield to restrict the rights of our employees and their expressions of patriotism. This is not in keeping with the spirit and culture of Kindred Healthcare. We routinely celebrate the blessings bestowed upon us by honoring our veterans and active military through a variety of benefits and service programs. The truth is the Mansfield hospital situation has not been described accurately or in its entirety. In fact, both employees involved in the situation have family members who have served in the military.
This issue was simply a dispute between two employees who shared a small workspace, one of whom removed the flag because of its size. Its important to note that hospital management was not involved in the decision to remove the flag and has since worked with both employees to resolve the situation. We support our employees first amendment rights and have invited the employee to rehang her flag.
We are sorry that this incident occurred, said Benjamin A. Breier, President of Kindreds Hospital Division. We organize many activities and programs throughout the year to honor our veterans. This year, in addition to our annual Independence Day celebrations, we will proudly distribute American flags that our employees can display in their workspaces. Our 55,000 hard-working employees serve our patients and residents daily with innumerable acts of kindness and compassion. We value and respect each of our employees and their commitment to high quality care. We look forward to continuing to serve our communities and our country.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH - Not until your employee who would desecrate an American Flag is no longer your employee...And your BS about the size of the flag, well if I said what I think of that big of bovine excrement this would not be a family friendly post.
Nah, the gun/ammo purchases of the past 6 months would indicate otherwise. America still has a huge block of people who recognize what is happening, and we’ll take care of things when it’s time. And while some will respond negatively to this, not me. In fact, I look forward to the day it all begins, because on that day, America starts moving in the right direction again.
“And your face offends me. Have it removed.”
That Kindred Healthcare responded in such a way tells me they’re worried.
Hope the woman sues the he$$ out of them!
And all of us should put American flags on our desks or on our office/cubicle walls in solidarity!
The pendulum always swings back and in this case, it’s swinging hard right.
Liberals overplayed their hand with this election, making the assumption that a 52% win for a president gave him a mandate to socialize our entire country without a fight. Boy were they wrong.
Everyday more people are waking up and asking “wtf?” and getting on board against Obama and his cult.
Call State Farm and see if the policy has expired.
The election of the POS certainly has smoked out the America haters. Don’t think she would’ve had the hutspah to do this in 2002.
This is actually a good thing because by law if an employee is allowed to display what ever they want then unions can in turn display any kind of recruitment posters or paraphernalia for the purpose of unionizing. An employer has the right not to allow unionizing on their premise's but not if employees are allowed to display anything else they want. This is akin to Target not allowing Salvation Army Bell Ringers in front of their store, if they did unions would also have to be allowed out front then too.
This does not diminish the despicable reasoning the supervisor used to remove the flag.
“This issue was simply a dispute between two employees who shared a small workspace, one of whom removed the flag because of its size. Its important to note that hospital management was not involved in the decision to remove the flag and has since worked with both employees to resolve the situation. We support our employees first amendment rights and have invited the employee to rehang her flag.”
Sounds reasonable enough to me. Disputes will happen. Looks like the problem is that our government allowed this person who hates the flag into our country.
