Another SCAR sighting folks!
This time -- and a nice confirmation of my sourcing on the first equipping units -- its a pic of some Rangers who'd dropped by a NASCAR event this past weekend.
The Joes from 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment were honored at the Coca Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC, among other services over the Memorial Day weekend.

They sure do!
(Now if only every regular U.S. Army Soldier had a SCAR to take the place of their M-16 or M-4)
Maybe the HK416 or M468.
Not the M468 because it’s direct gas impingement.
Barrett did away with it anyway, and replaced it with the REC-7
So the REC7 uses a gas-operated short stroke piston like the HK416, right?
The 6.8 x 43mm Remington SPC cartridge has 44-50% more hitting power than the 5.56 x 45mm NATO.
That’s right.
