To be fair, Bush wasn’t much better when it came to dealing with the NORKs.

There's only so much you can do when you run out of political capital. He did more than anyone since Reagan, however, in coming to terms with the evil that exists in the world.

I too have this bad feeling that we may wake one day to news that 30,000 of our troops are killed in a massive suicidal move to Seoul, only to hear the obamanation tell America that we had no real reason to be there in the first place. Most Americans have no idea we have US troops on the DMZ zone within spitting distance of these missles and ground troops.

"You people have to stop with the Korea, Iran, Pakistan crap. The war is here."

Correct. But this makes an excellent diversion from the real aggression going on in Washington.

Question: Say Jong-Il went nuts (oh, right) and decided to nuke SKorea. What would Barry do about it?

Probably close down some Hyundai dealerships.

100% agree. Too many people write off the threat because the area has been quiet (other than verbally) for too long. Like the boy who cried wolf, except in reverse...

What would BArry do?

Probably send in UN workers to retrieve thousands of dead US soldiers’ remains as he would not give any orders for them to fight or defend themselves.

My take?

Obama will blink.

He does not have the b*lls nor guts to play chicken here (nor do his advisors on this topic and region), which is what the North wants.

Actually, then want him to dispatch a diplomatic team with "the bailout package", and they are in temper tantrum mode at present. My guess is he will be scared by them and will quietly capitulate with some carrots. He may be a body surfer but he isnt a poker player.

No less than 2 hours ago I was in our little local market... after waiting 10 minutes for the lady to get off the phone she said: “Sorry, was talking to a relative in Korea”. I asked if tensions there were high.... she said “no, not at all, what for?”

Hate to say it, but I think L’il Kim is HELPING us. I honestly hope short of a nuclear attack (which will NOT happen) that he continues shooting his mouth off and shooting missles off, willy-nilly (I want 10 to 20 more).

We NEED SDI research, and we NEED Japan to step up and be realistic about the need for a robust role for Japan in pan-asian security.

We need something completely HUGE to embarrass Obama and get him to DO something other than give speeches.

Perversely, I will pray for scattered DPRK artillery fire, but don’t expect much, as those kooks are constantly shrieking about bathing us in a sea of fire, and whatnot...

Works for me.

Let us make North Korea something we teach in history books.

Since it won't be there to see in person any more.

Nice sentiment, “fairness”.

There’s nothing easier than telling the guy you just beat to a pulp in the press, that he should forget the depths you plumbed to do so.

Maybe the MSM/DNC should have have thought about that before they blamed Pres Bush for every punk in the world that acted up for 8 years running.

No, we can not afford to ignore him or the growing concern related to his increasing belligerence. That being said, despite his increased belligerence, I believe that it is all talk and show.

Arguably, both men are “dangerous,” but from my perspective, Ahmanutjob proves to be more of a “dangerous” concern being his nuclear aspirations and threats (i.e.: towards Israel) are not entirely the embodiment of nationalism but are guided by religious fanaticism and purpose.

A man guided radical religious convictions has nothing to fear.

A man guided by nationalism, etc. still maintains some sort of rationality.
