Why Obama Speeches Make Little Sense Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Over the past few years, a new technology has sprung up: Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.

It is the creation of Internet Marketers, and Spammers, who seek ways to get our attention, to defeat spam blockers, and to zero in on our individual demographic and perhaps more important, psychographic profiles.

At its worst, it is an invasion of privacy on an unprecedented scale. It invades e-mail by using spyware to build specialized vocabularies for every customer. It looks over browser inquiries, even private correspondence with commercial entities.

Then, SEO techniques are able to help create messages, using key words, or even weirder, using key words in no particular order and with no meaning whatsoever, to precede an advertiser's e-mail. That's to make sure it evades Spam-Blockers and that the message shows up on the potential customer's screen. There are programs available to develop and use these key word databases, and in general, they are used by SEO companies to further the interests of their clients.

The more reputable among these firms (relatively speaking) also use focus groups, carefully recording their comments, and developing keywords that peak interest in specific target audiences.

This is precisely why POTUS is Teleprompter dependent. Every word of every speech has been very carefully keyed. It is the ultimate application of Pavlovian psychology to communications. The key words are the stimuli. The response of the audiences is to hear exactly what they have already said they want to hear.

Like the key words preceding a sales e-mail, the words in an Obama Teleprompter talk need not follow logic, or anything else. They are word-bombs.

This could explain why Obama has developed a reputation as an orator, when his words read in print make absolutely no sense. When they are heard, especially by a particularly supportive audience, they assume oracular status.

The keywords fit the mental locks of the believers, most certainly. But they also do a wonderful job of bringing along those who do not know what to believe, or have no grasp of factual aspects of the topic.

It is apparent (to me, at least) that this effort has been very well researched and brilliantly developed. I wager that a substantial amount of the $1 billion raised for the Obama campaign went into it, or was supplied by supporters like George Soros.

The POTUS's speech vs. Dick Cheney's is therefore a perfect example of the new communication technique in opposition to the old. Cheney spoke in measured, logical cadences, laying out his case, buttressing it with facts, and asking the audience to weigh the evidence.

Obama did no such thing. He doesn't have to. A new technology makes every word true to his audience, because his audience, whether they know it or not, wrote the speech; the very words his writers put on the Teleprompter.

You are just a logical European!!! Our great leader 0bama communicates via his deep, self assured vocal tones and via buzzwords. Liberals string together buzzwords that “resonate” with their voters. 0bama’s oratory conveys a feeling not logical policies

Have you noticed how in the last decade movies lack continuity and can have large holes in the plot? 0bama is the same. Logic is not required by his illogical illiterate innumerate followers. And the educated ones are liberal arts majors who are easily fooled and sucked in by global warming and cap and trade feel good crusades

Have you noticed how often 0bamma uses the phrase “moving forward” “Forward thinking” and “going forward”? I heard Hillary use it too. All convey progressiveness and tackling problems. Not being stuck in the past like those evil Republicans who won’t even fund stem cell research.

Liberals love key words also called buzzwords. They create a feeling. They convey information and that you are with it! But the information is not coherent and logical

Obama gets followers by getting them to feel a certain way. Not by making a logical appeal to them. Just last week he was blaming lack of socialist health care for all our economic woes. He said take care of health care and our economy will come back

Key words do not stay constant. Up to date keywords is sort of a problem. Websites don’t have timestamps but some do. I suppose the time can be read on some and when a particular keyword or key phrase was used. Blogs have timestamps on each entry
