"Is this why I can't find my luggage?"

You can't find your luggage because you don't have any luggage. You live in Caleefornia, remember?

"You pack your car and drive away ..."

Pretty much expresses what I did a quarter-century ago.

But what can I say? I moved to the People's Soviet of Washington.

Yeah, but at least you have luggage.

Baggage too. *\;-)

More seriously, had an interesting time this afternoon evaluating a fractal TV antenna I'd built -- something that would work with digital TV because our old powered rabbit ears didn't work. Modified the design somewhat to make the wire-bending easier with a nail&board jig and committing the unpardonable sin of using (lead) solder as a structural component (compensated for by pouring epoxy glue to hold the structure to a small corrugated plastic board cut from an old political campaign sign).

Didn't expect much, but it turned out to work better than the rabbit-ears we had.

OTOH, I was surprised at the over 2:1 variation in signal strength from the TV station reported by the set-top converter, just over a couple minutes of time. Also by the difference 3' of elevation made in signal strength. Not sure yet if one much further up on the chimney box will work for all stations, or if I'll have to add one or two to pick up nearly all the stations in our area.

I still have insurance. I would only drive it once about every three months. I do have a company car that I pay $140 a month for unlimited use including gas and maintenance.

For a number of years I had a company car to use.

So my personal vehicle was a pick-up.

For a minute I thought someone had reunited the band Finch.

I was attempting to cook soup.
Instead, it curled up and screeched at me a bit before bubbling off down the hallway.
Is that normal when violating physics?

Did it leave anything behind? I mean, like if you stepped on it would your leg dissolve?

Oddly, this is how my cooking always ends up.
Something howling and running off.

At least you don’t have to admit to making it. Mine always points several fingers at me and yells. Then grips the surface of whatever container it’s in so it can’t be removed.
