I'm watching Fox News on Time Warner Cable in the Albany/Saratoga NY area.
During commercial breaks and shows, the audio 'slurs' for just a second. Was happening last night, too. Seems like every 10 seconds - when it's happening.
Anyone else hearing it or is my tin foil too tight?
Sorry if I bother anyone with this post, but it's driving me batty.
(also, I'm writing this in the 'Body of Thread' box - 'Body of Comment' box is empty - I hope this shows up correctly!)
Wow, I never noticed it until I saw this thread and then I listened for it - and sure enough the first commercial I hear it sounded like at points the sound track was slowing down - like if you were listening to an old LP and point your finger on the turn table to slow it down periodically. Is this just on Fox or is it happening on other networks? By the way I use Dish Network.
YES IT IS, All day long, I thought I was drunk
It’s been happening a lot here in PA. (Comcast).
Your Mom is probably right!
I've noticed it in other digital HD channels as well. I'm on cable HD.
Ha! Try Googling "Obama Birth Certificate." ;-)
I get pixilation where the screen turns into garbled squares and sometimes get a big blue patch in the middle of my high def channel while it freezes. My DVR records these instances also... Quite random - happens several times a week.
Same here, the last few days. Good to know it’s not the TV.
I’ve noticed it but it’s driving my wife batty. Doesn’t bother me so much.
same here in tx for the last couple of days
odd thing - not one single slur when O was on talking about the car emissions for what seemed like 1/2 an hour
Drink more wine and you won’t know the difference...you won’t care either!!
[it’s a complete blackout for about 2 or 3 seconds.]
Same here....have DirecTV
“Drink more wine and you wont know the difference...you wont care either!!”
(Note to self: buy more wine. And vodka. Russian vodka).
Yes .. in HD .. satalite
Well, I picked up a converter because I grabbed a coupon so that I could get one for free because I’ll be DAMNED if I will subjugate myself to the cable-TV industry.
FWIW: I have noticed the slurred audio as well. I have found that if I change channels and then change right back it corrects (until the next time)...
All day long here in Arizona... very irritating.

I noticed it as well... only on the Fox News Channel, though... other channels were fine. I have Cox cable in Connecticut.
