I have Civil War aficionados in my list of friends and some cousins—one cousin who writes books on Civil War memorabilia. I have several copies of this novel to purchase and send out. Good job!

You will have to read my biography (now in process) to find out why I believe Stuart followed his orders.

It was Lee’s first big failure...he could have taken the high ground upon arrival, but waited instead. Even then, it took the admittedly courageous actions of Joshua Chamberlain and the Twentieth Maine to close the line insuring the Union victory. A victory for the South at Gettysburg could have been the straw that broke the camel’s back for the North. More’s the pity.

I know that our arguments get heated and sometimes more than that... but I want you to know that my novel has been published. And both sides are fairly represented.
I love the Union officers as I wrote them.

There were so many failures at Gettysburg by Lee it was bordering on insanity. Longstreet seemed to be the only sane Confederate leader there, but of course Lee just had to keep sending his men up the aptly named Cemetery Ridge.

My interest is the Army of Northern Virginia, but I don’t have a dog in the fight. I find honor on both sides.

Stonewall is the lead character in the novel, of course. Lee and Stuart in strong support. On the Union side, it’s Grant with Reynolds and Sheridan in support.
