THROW AWAY THE SCABBARD
In this alternate history, Jackson survives Chancellorsville. With Jackson leading his Second Corps in an invasion of the North, the war shifts from the Virginia wilderness to the Pennsylvania countryside. After the Army of Northern Virginia wins a stunning victory on the banks of the Susquehanna, General Ulysses S. Grant comes east to drive the Confederates from northern soil. But when Grant fails to dislodge Lee's army, President Abraham Lincoln risks all in a desperate attempt to win the war and restore the Union.
Throw Away the Scabbard is the first book of a trilogy that provides the exciting answer to the Civil War's most enduring question: What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville?

Hey congrats!!!
I’ve got an idea for your next book...
“Throw Away the ‘Throw Away the Scabbard’ - What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville book had never been published.”
(I’m expecting royalties.)
Congrats on your book. What do you think of the other alternative history of the CW, wherein Lee goes west and relieves Vicksburg?
Thanks again.
What did I ever do to you! LOL!
I ordered a copy today, and I hope it will be delivered promptly ;-).
Actually, I think that would be a fabulous idea. So many possibilities when it comes to the Civil War. I think it is great fun to explore them.
There’s little doubt that Stonewall Jackson would have pressed the action when the Yankees were fleeing to what became a remarkably strong defensive position. The Battle of Gettysburgh was lost early on when the Rebels lost that advantage.
That said, Longstreet was right when he counseled leaving the battlefield after Day 1. The Yankees had position and moving towards Washington DC would have forced them out of those positions.
I know that Lee loyalists (and I am a big fan of Marse Robert) will not like that analysis, but Longstreet was right. He was also a defensive warfare genius. (His tactics were widely used in WWI). At that point in time, the South needed to be in a defensive mindset.
I say this as a Northerner who is glad (relieved) the Union won.
I believe it will. Let me know if you don’t get it promptly, and I’ll light a fire under the shipping department. Thank for all your grammar help.
Don’t presume that the Army of Northern Virginia is headed toward Gettysburg in my book... LOL!
You’re welcome, for whatever it was worth. (I’ll watch for the pronoun antecedents!) Your diligence really got the job done, and I think that’s a very impressive achievement.
I know that I asked a lot of questions about horses... and here is the end result. Thank you for taking the time to answer them.
I’m sure they are in there with alot of other things. Just don’t tell me. LOL!
Does your alternate history address what FReepers argue about in the alternate future after the Confederacy wins?
I've always enjoyed our discussions even though we disagreed more than agreed.
bump for later
I don’t want to give away the ending. LOL!
Congrats!!!! Well Done!!! :)
LOL....Congratulations!
I wanted to send you a ping to let you know that I’m finally published! YES!
