THROW AWAY THE SCABBARD
In this alternate history, Jackson survives Chancellorsville. With Jackson leading his Second Corps in an invasion of the North, the war shifts from the Virginia wilderness to the Pennsylvania countryside. After the Army of Northern Virginia wins a stunning victory on the banks of the Susquehanna, General Ulysses S. Grant comes east to drive the Confederates from northern soil. But when Grant fails to dislodge Lee's army, President Abraham Lincoln risks all in a desperate attempt to win the war and restore the Union.
Throw Away the Scabbard is the first book of a trilogy that provides the exciting answer to the Civil War's most enduring question: What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville?
It belongs to you as well.
Royalties may be sent to .... ;o)
Thanks. There is a link to it on the thread. carton does good work on developing the characters we all think we already know, at least from a historic standpoint but after reading the book I felt like I knew them more on a personal level.
Good to see you!
If Stonewall had survived Chancellorsville, then there is a fair chance that Lee would won (or fought a draw) at Gettysburg. After that, it gets murky...
I read somewhere that “While Jackson served beside Lee, Lee never lost a battle; after Jackson died, Lee never decisively won a battle.”
Congrats!!! I just ordered a copy and look forward to the second and third installments.
Thank you so much!
I’ll split them 99% to 1%. How about that?
We're rich, rich I tell ya!
I'm looking forward to reading it.
“Actually, I think that would be a fabulous idea. So many possibilities when it comes to the Civil War. I think it is great fun to explore them.”
You would enjoy my book. It’s a little told story of the Civil War in Indian Territory, Arkansas, Texas.
