With all the medical miracles scientists have discovered, pain management is still one area with a lot of holes. Most heavy duty pain killers make you unconscious or just dopey. Then there is that other problem of stomach distress and kidney problems which sometimes accompany use of pain killers and anesthesia.
Dr. Alexander Binshtok of Tel Aviv University's Sackler School of Medicine might have found the key to killing pain without any of those side effects and its a really hot idea. Binshtok found a way to use chili peppers as a base for a revolutionary new pain killer:

I am sure they are on to something. I have been using capsaicin products for years and they work.
PING
Oh yea!
Love those Chiltepin peppers!
In other news, the Palestinian Authority's only contribution to society is its ability to inflict pain.......
Solarcaine (drug company Schering Plough - also owns Dr Schols) makes a really good aloe for sunburn with lidocaine. Great stuff for sunburns though vinegar is also good.
I expect UK Teachers to boycott this “apartheid medical advancement”.

Sounds like you are an RA sufferer also.
I used the roll on type. The burning itch is almost as unbearable as the burning itch/pain of RA. Having to be really careful when using it on my wrists for fear I will accidently get it in my eyes.
Jumps around. Right now it’s in my lower spine, my hips, buttocks.
What else is there?
I don’t know what RA is. I use it on my shoulder and shoulder joint, and on the top of my arm below my elbow, all of which I have screwed up by spending too much time on my computer. I also used it on my foot when I had a stress fracture and it felt divine. Now, I hope this doesn’t gross you out, but I also have some capsaicin nose drops that I use when my sinuses get bad, and it blows them right out. I sneeze three or four times and then I can breath.
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Wow! That’s interesting about the sinus.
I’ll remember that next time I get a stopped up nose.
Some kind of antiarabotic?
It’s called “Sinus Buster.” Not for the faint of heart. Got it from www.sinusbuster.com. But it really, really works.
I’ve been using capsaicin for a number of years. Actually you can probably duplicate the results with a little capsaicin mixed with Ambesol(lidicaine; it’s for toothaches)
