CBS Announcer Says Any US Soldier Would be Glad to Assassinate Reid and Pelosi
Buck Naked Politics ^ | 9 May

A CBS sports announcer/professional golfer appointed himself to speak for US soldiers. And according to him -- David Feherty -- US soldiers would all love to murder Reid and Pelosi (The Hill) And no, he wasn't speaking metaphorically. On the other hand, the troops luuuuuuurve President George W. Bush, whom Feherty was welcoming back to Texas.

From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this, though: despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death," Feherty wrote in an a D Magazine piece....

You can imagine the reaction, but let's have it anyway. My first thought was this: why are right wingers so damn mean? How many liberals do you know who would use such a statement to point up a compliment? None.

Not sure they're using their idiocy to "point up a compliment," but I can think of a few liberals who would use such a statement.

I can remember when a random liberal made "Snipers Wanted" appear over video of candidate George W. Bush on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. And I can remember how Gabriel Range's 2006 fictional documentary about the assassination of George W. Bush, "Death of a President", was defended and lauded as cutting-edge, and provocative, while "The Path to 9/11" enraged liberals so much that the loonie, Hollywood-connected, left tried to get it censored, pulled, and yanked because, as a docudrama, it “wasn’t accurate…” And I can even remember how a local radio lib, Kevin Lynn, upon hearing that columnist Bob Novak would be visiting a nearby university, asked, “Will he have a target on him so we know which one to shoot?”

Oh, yeah, and Wanda Dykes wants Rush Limbaugh's kidneys dead, and Julianne Malveaux (November 4, 1994) hoped Supreme Court Justice Thomas' wife "feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease..."

Lets not forget that Alex Baldwin once called for the stoning death of Republicans on the Hill for their part in President Clinton’s impeachment hearings. I think he also called for the deaths of their families if I recall.

Alex's statement was against former Rep. Henry Hyde, a true gentleman.

Baldwin, Malveaux and Dykes are vermin and our "wonderful leader" Obama is the same.

Both parties, the golfer and the comedian both over stepped. The difference, IMHO, is that the golfer said it out of desperation and the comedian said it out of heartlessness. I don’t like that he involved a soldier in his rhetoric, he could have said it of himself. But he did apologize for the comment, which I personally, might not have.

The comedian, on the other hand, was calculating & callous with her words...and she, as of yet, has not apologized.

Ping the golf peeps. I love Feherty. It is always a banner day at the mailbox when my copy of GOLF arrives and the first place I flip to is the back page for Feherty’s column. This past month’s on home-building was hilarious. I’m pretty sure a future column will have a reference to being on Janet Napalitano’s list.

I read Feherty’s entire article, and it was dang funny.

I don’t think he’s a conservative, so I don’t understand why they feel the need to fry him.

Too, he’s already apologized.

Maybe this is another distraction...

Yep. When was the last time you heard a conservative politician or media personality call for the death of people they don’t agree with? They are truly sick individuals.

Will CBS can Feherty? He’s immensely popular, with a series of high profile advertisements, and feature interviews with PGA golfers, as well as tournament coverage. He made a little splash recently by running with Tiger’s own suggestion that he was a “loser”, face to face. ( Tiger hadn’t won, you see.)

A while ago, Ben Wright disappeared without a trace after an ambush interview in which he vocalized some Inconvenient Truths about womens golf. Could it happen again?

Wrong, kill bin Laden. That way you could see the extreme disappointment on Reid and Pelosi’s faces at the success.

If Viacom Threw Imus under the bus for what he said the I would expect Les Moonves to do another stupid thing in letting David go. Whether DF is conservative or not, I don’t know. What I do know is this man is a huge supporter of the troops. If anyone wants to make a point of who narrowminded and in the bag for Zero the MSM is, then one must expect some grief for attempting to speak the truth, which David did. He has made trips to Iraq the last two holiday seasons to see the troops......

We’ll see if he is in San Antonio or if he stays in Dallas this week.....
