I might be the only one here that is in favor of reparations. (no, I’m not, I know of others)

I am completely in favor of reparations for the grievous wrong done to Africans brought here for slavery. So...

If we can just find one, just one, who was enslaved, then I say give them reparation!

0 is in a unique position to bring resolution to this problem of slavery. It was his ancestors who enslaved negroes and sold them to western plantation owners. He must make a personal confession to those whose ancestors were enslaved by his ancestors.

If so, when will others (Jews, Whites, etc.) be justly compensated for their ancestors being slaves? Do you understand this is total insanity? In addition, you need to study the history of the World. There have been a plethora of races and cultures held captive in slavery over time.

Furthermore, trillions given to them since the 1940s is enough. This does not count the loss of human life during the UnCivil War, the watering down of the Constitution, etc.

Most of all, the slave trade ended in the USA in 1808. Read the Constitution. My advice, get over yourself and by all means hand them your paycheck. Moreover, my family did not own slaves, and my family doesn't owe them a blessed thing.

As you know, blacks were slave owners. There were thousands of black slave owners in the south. There were also slave breeders. Do you think a decendant of a white non-slave holder should pay reparations while the decendants of black slave holders shouldn’t?

Of course it was blacks who captured and enslaved their fellow blacks. How do you propose their decendants should be treated?

To that I would add: Reparations means making whole, wiping the slate clean. The payment of reparations eliminates at once and forever the validity of any claim of handicap due to racism. You are now on your own.
