Remember when candidate Obama said, Lobbyists wont find a job in my White House? Apparently, he doesnt. And really, no one who opposed his presidency to begin with is surprised.
Even AP and the NY Times is noticing the lobbyists in Washington. And this piece is from the Washington Times:
During his presidential campaign, Barack Obama declared that, lobbyists wont find a job in my White House. Now President Obama takes a different view of lobbyists.
The Senate is expected soon to approve anti-tobacco lobbyist William Corr for the second-highest post at the Department of Health and Human Services. He is the former executive director of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and, until recently, a registered lobbyist.
The Obama team has said Mr. Corr will recuse himself from tobacco-related matters. Sure. Mr. Corrs former group received $3.3 million over the past five years from pharmaceutical companies, according to the Wall Street Journal. Some of those firms profit from nicotine gum, patches and other smoking-

Is it just that one? I mean, to write an article about “lobbyists” and then name only one former lobbyist...that seems manipulative and deceptive, to me. The article, that is. (But I can’t click on the article to read it....I’ve stopped clicking on unknown links.)
Thank you. The “compromise” list looks a lot more like broken promises but it’s a start of a list anyway.
