Republicans didn't leave Specter, But Democrats did!
Creating Orwellian Wordview ^ | 4/8/09 | alaphiah

Political expediency can prove to be very tricky maneuvering. Alren Specter left the Republican Party for the self ascribed reason that his political career was much too important to allow Republicans in the Republican primary to decide his highly esteemed political fate. Well how the worm turns...

I have a Democrat friend who is as liberal as they come. He also has a conspiracy theory for every news story. The day Arlen switched he called to gloat. I told him, we don't want him you can have him. He told me they didn't want him either. It has nothing to do with him being a treacherous slimeball, though. It's all about the magic bullet theory and the Warren Commission and a little bit of Ira Einhorn thrown in.

".... And because I’m too damned important to allow Pennsylvania Republican voters to decide my fate I’m telling Republicans to kiss off!"

~~snip~~~ on NBC's "Meet the Press," Specter was asked about Reid's assurance. "That's an entitlement. I've earned the seniority," Specter said. "I will be treated by the Democrats as if I'd been elected as a Democrat."

A funny thing happened on the way to the front of the Democrat seniority line Tuesday night, the Democrats in the Senate voted to strip Specter of his seniority. Specter has served in the Senate for twenty-nine years.

The vote, as stated before, left him with the power of a freshman.

Arlen, you're own3d and have been pawn3d! (think those are the correct terms?)

Or to put it another way...

You and the RATS have played out 'The Scorpion and the Frog'
and YOU were the frog!
......
Enjoy your place on the bottom rung of the RAT ladder, traitor.
(did you at least get your 30 pieces of silver?)

To many dhimmis politics is a “zero-sum” game where they imagine that there are infinite players and a game buzzer.

After the election I heard (and continue to hear) boasts from the left that “You see? The country is rejecting you Republicans! You are irrelevant! Soon you’ll have to go to a museum to see a rethug!”.

They conveniently forget that, as disappointing as the last election was, it was still essentially a 51/49 proposition. That’s not the blowout or the quantum shift that they suggest and certainly not the foundation for a “mandate”.

Among those who I would not describe as partisan dhimmicrat, but who voted O’bummer, most bought the “hopey-changy” mantra that seductively spoke to their disenchantment with their status quo. They bought the “sizzle” without considering the consequences. It’s still too early for most of them to admit that they made a mistake, but give it time.

I’m seeing more and more “buyer’s remorse” every day.

There is no reason for the Democrats to give Specter a thing.

Unlike Jeffords in 01, the Dems have a firm majority already and they already had Specter’s vote on critical cloture votes. The Dems get very little here, so they’ll pay very little- particularly as Specter can’t go back now.

Specter has a summer home on Long Beach Is., NJ. I live there and have seen him one of the local establishments.

I’m gonna make an extra special effort to look for him this summer. If I see him I’m gonna point at the doofus and laugh my head off—just before I call him an unAmerican traitor. I bet the sniveling little elitist snot trys to sic the cops on me.

A lot more people should be having buyer’s remorse now with unemployment probably over 10%. One person posted the real number is 15.8% not 8.9%.

This is Obama and the 2006 Dem (NO Energy Policy & Cap & Trade) Congress. It is their Depression.
