Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) appeared this morning on "Morning Joe".
"Gay tendencies"? What the... this is why people consider Republicans homophobic, intolerant, etc.
Sure, I'm glad Sessions will look at someone's legal qualifications over anything else, but there had to be a better way to answer the question without using those words. What an idiot.

I wish he had said, “What a stupid question, why are you focused on someone’s sexuality?”

This is all very disturbing, more and more it looks like this candidate is going to be chosen for what their sexual preference is and not their law qualifications...
What the hell is going on in this country?

Yeah. How gay?
Are we talking "Liberace gay", or just mildly flaming?

In response to the gay-diversity question, Sen Sessions gave a good answer.
"We shouldn't be thinking like that for the United States Supreme Court."
More troubling is Sessions remark to Neil Cavuto, that he'd vote for a pro-abortion candidate. That is very troubling especially coming from such a staunch social conservative.

I could accept someone as flaming as Paul Lynde if he was a Constitutionalist who interpreted the law instead of just making it up. (Now I can’t get the image of the Supreme Court in the Hollywood Squares out of my head. I’ll take Justice Scalia to block.)

The liberal reporter Question should not have been asked....and if asked it should have not been answered.
Its a GOTCHA question........Gay is not a Supreme court issue.....Constitutional Law is the issue.
Put a Gay on the Bench.....and due to AIDS he may be a short term judge in the long run ?
