I couldn’t care less what he has on his burger.

I just don’t want him telling me what I have to have on mine.

Or worse still taking half of mine and “spreading it around” while he tells me what to have on my remaining half.

Toppings on a hamburger are regional in nature anyhow. In New York, ketchup is the only acceptable condiment. That’s how I was raised, that’s how I like ‘em. A bacon-cheeseburger (American cheese please) with fries is my favorite diner order in NY.

Here in Georgia they slather mayonnaise all over the damned thing by default.

If you order saying “no mayonnaise” they take it as some kind of code for “extra mayonnaise” and slop on even more.

When I was working in New Iberia, La there was this little out of the way fast food stand that had great sandwiches on french bread. I ordered a chili dog. When I got back to the office I started eating and there was no "dog" just chili!

I made a comment that next time I would check and make sure there was a "dog" in the chili dog I ordered. One of the Ladies in the office said that is a chili dog. We don't put a hot dog in a chili dog!
