From KTUU Alaska, Sarah Palin has joined the GOP listening tour with Romney and Cantor. Other cities are in the plans and Palin and McCain may be together at some point. Get ready for the media to have a hate fest just like they always do. Chris Matthews and everyone at MSDNC will be making fun of everything she says..Full Story Here

I think she has made a mistake, but who knows? If she strongley defends conservative principles and leaves them looking squishy, it may be a good move.

LOL, I guess the Freepers attacking anyone and everyone associated with this listening tour will have to eat their words or turn on Palin. Which will they choose?

I noticed that they only added her after the heat they took.

I still think these tours are a rogue move to out conservatives.

They need to do more than listen, they need to teach.

They can start with ECON 101 on the impacts of unfettered money printing.

I watched the 1 hr CSPAN video of their first get together. Romney was "teaching"... talking about how great that healthcare thingy was. Jeb was talking about all the great things government can do for education.

Perhaps they all need to go back to school -- I agree that Econ 101 would be a good starting point. Or perhaps a basic course in Civics. They certainly have forgotten those lessons and are not in a position to be doing the teaching until they get it straight.

If they could get the electorate to add 2 + 2, they would completely freak everyone out.

You would have an avalanche of new conservatives.

They don’t have to talk about abortion or anything else.

This is all that it would take, get this message and stay on it.

It is really a dis-service to the party that they don’t do this, is it because it is too hard? Life’s hard, they better figure it out, because that is what it takes.

No we should be happy that the RNC is finally recognizing Palin Power. She can do a lot of good. If she wants to return to national politics, she has to involve herself with the RNC.
It’s called politics.

Sarah Palin should do a listening tour of her own. She will get plenty of attention on her own and can speak directly to the people w/o those other politicians around. Either that or she could pick a few Republican women to go around with her, like Marsha Blackburn, Michelle Bachman, etc. The point is that she needs to blaze her own trail, not follow Mitt Romney around town.

If she wants to aspire for national politics she can’t do it on her own. If one supports Palin, one should have that much trust in her principles, that she won’t let herself be made a tool of certain people in the GOP. She has power through SarahPAC, a rising fundraising powerhouse, and the RNC knows it.

IF, she actually takes an active part in this group, she’ll suck all the oxygen out of everyone else’s sails. No one really cares about what McCain says, everyone has heard him say it for years and years, same with Romney. Jeb Bush isn’t exactly a new face either, but NO ONE is interested in a third Bush. Cantor is realtively new, but let’s face it, no one knows who the hell he is outside of Virginia, and the beltway. Palin knows that she cannot be seen as just another beltway hack, because most of her appeal is the fact that she is about as far from that crowd, both politically, and geographicly as possible. She is one shrewed operator, and she knows that if she shows up for one of their events they will not have to offer free pizza to attract a tiny crowd, she will attract thousands, and the chants of Sarah! Sarah! will issue from the throats of the crowd, and will send shivers up the spines of the spineless dolts in the group. Unfortunately, Jindal has chosen to throw his lot in with the beltway bandits heart and soul. If you notice Palin said, “this and others,” putting them on notice that she is not putting all her eggs in their extremely weak backet. Although many here may object to her participation, this may be a real chance for her to exert maximum influence on the future direction of the GOP. If SarahPAC is a monumental success, she will cement her influence even further.

In arguendo, FReepers admonished the RINOs, not the tour.

I am beginning to think she is not making a mistake. It would be a definite mistake to join The National Council for a New America. My Opinion this the Council is a Washington Insider group to tell Panel/Presidential Contenders what line to tow; not what it is supposed to be (or advertised to be) that the Panel is supposed to tell the Council what the grass root is thinking.

So smart move to be on tour, but smart not to join the insider group.

Rush gave the sissies a public spanking, so now they’re going to let the girl play.

There are gonna be some unhappy RINOs when the attendance at their functions soars with folks turning out for Palin.

The thing that disturbs me is that we can look for more back-stabbing leaks to the press about Palin from the Romney and McCain operatives, and they will become more and more vitriolic when it becomes evident that Palin is the draw. I sure hope that Palin's people have learned how to combat this RINO poison.

Although I have reservations about her participation, it will be priceless to watch the event where she shows up. Sarah Palin attracts thousands on short notice. These bums can't fill up a tavern at happy hour.

I think the Mittster freaks out first...LOL.
