I don't mean to denigrate the real suffering that occurred. However, in the years since, this country has lost more soldiers than lost there protecting that city and others from a similar fate. What I've seen since is bickering amongst 'connected' survivors about memorials, scrambling for compensation, and a general contempt for the administration that vowed to not ever let that happen again. It truly is sad.
For the residents of the city to now become concerned in the wake of what they've done since boggles the mind.
I don't think you denigrated anyone...and your assessment is dead on. Part of the reason I moved...it was sad to see the idiots post on street corners "9/11 was an inside job"...and 8 years on and they still have yet to build a DARN thing on the site. Meanwhile, the Pentagon's completely rebuilt. Explain that one to me?
So THEIR prez scared the hell out of the poor dears...to hell with 'em. I do not live there any more and I don't care. So, when they do get hit again, I'll simply ask "Think this was an inside job too?" as we save them from themselves?
