It’s funny how the “social moderates” are always the ones pushing the leftist point of view. They’ll tell you “I’m a conservative, except on social matters”, and you think “well, maybe that’s reasonable”, but then they’re always the ones hating on stuff like this, as well.
Being a “moderate” (i.e. liberal in the truest sense of the word) is like a nuclear bomb; you can’t confine it to one area of your politics, there’s all kinds of collateral damage affecting your whole politics. You can’t be “moderate” in one area.
Just what do you think you are going to achieve by hating on this issue? You’re not going to stop it, all you’re going to do is give the left ammunition. It’s attitudes such as yours that have got us where we are today.

I’m not hating... to the contrary... I’d love to have a RATIONAL discussion about this! However, discussion this with people like you is like discussion 911 with a Truther, or the last election with a Ron Paul person. In other words, there is no discussion, but rather, yelling and insulting of people like me.
