Don’t underestimate the wisdom of the American People. The people may have been stampeded by the press into electing Obama and a Democratic Congress, but they are very quickly developing buyers remorse. E.g.:

If we could get even a scintilla of leadership from Conservative Politicians (and there are a few left, last I checked), we will have the Obamaites in full retreat by fall. Look how fast Zeros disapproval ratings have risen in just 100 days. AND THAT WAS THE HONEYMOON! We are not looking at the Apocalypse: the mass of the American People would not allow it. We could be lokking at the second Reagan Revolution, though . . .

I don’t see this happening. I really don’t. Napolitano, in her own liberal crazed way of thinking, is right about one thing, active duty service members and veterans ARE a serious threat to the liberal dream of turning America into a socialist state if for no other reason than they vote.
Their views are conservative for the most part. They swore oaths to defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic — and most of them are smart enough to know that liberals and their policies fit that bill closer than any other domestic group.
Then, consider the demographics. Where do all those soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines come from? The big cities? A few, but not that many. Not the vast majority in my experience. They come from small towns and cities in the American south and heartland states.
Any order to use military force against the American people in those states would have to be carried out by the sons and daughters of those very states. And I do NOT think they would obey.
It’s far more likely that such orders would trigger the very thing the liberals in their worst and most secret nightmares fear worst.
A military rebellion against Washington.
