In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. President Ronald Reagan- January 1981
Americans may be longing for a return to the vision for the country orated by Ronald Reagan during his first inaugural address. In a brand new survey released by Rasmussen, 60% of Americans think that the Government has too much power and has too much money. When you put these results on top of the overwhelming approval for the tea parties, it seems that it may be time for our government to sit up and listen:

Yet, 54% still approve of Obama’s job performance. Go figure.
The 53% that voted for him don’t want to admit making a mistake nor take responsibility for him. The other 1% is statistical error.
These are the bought and paid for by King Obama. The list will grow and grow until America bust.
Doesn’t make any sense.....What in hell did the 54% who voted for him think he was going to do?....Pay their mortgage then leave them alone?

The tea parties had an effect. People have not necessarily connected him to big government. Bill Clinton had a resounding defeat of congress after two years of his mismanagement. But he was re-elected.
obummer is a good talker and has a hypnotic effect on his cult following, a certain percentage though may be troubled by big government.
66% were either mad a Bush, completely uninformed, or just spinelessly doing what was cool. 40% are our Amerikan commies, a.k.a libs. Some of the 60% will eventually realize the error of their ways and his numbers will head toward the low 40’s. Hopefully to coincide with 2010 midterms. Them obama will be neutered and look an awful lot like Jimmy Carter his last 2 years.
That 66% should read 60%
Rasmussen: 54% admit to stupidity.
This is significant progress against the liberals in both parties.
Obama may have received 53% of the vote, but that wasn't 53% of Americans, because only about half of those who were eligible to vote actually did. So if some number those polled were not among those who actually voted, the numbers won't add up.
