I’m really not sure how could improve upon that sentence. It says exactly what I intended.
There is a “truth above all” mentality that some people have; and that mentality is unpragmatic, and it leaves those people prone to being manipulated by other, more pragmatic people.
It doesn’t say enough if it doesn’t communicate effectively.
One could say that CHRIST IS THE TRUTH . . . ABOVE ALL.
IF you are saying that folks who say
that THEIR construction on “truth”
THEIR criteria for assessing truth
is supreme above all others . . . more or less just because it’s THEIR’s . . .
perhaps I might make some sense out of your sentence.
