The government found that buying most things was cheaper to get an employee to go to a store and buy it. GSA closed their 17 acre warehouse in the Denver Federal Center 20 years ago. Back to old failed methods for Boama.

WTF!? Government ALREADY buys office supplies in bulk.
THAT shows an incredible lack of understanding on his part.

Maybe the reason it failed was because the politicians couldn’t abuse the system as easily. [/cynic]

Rush played this risible quote from Dear Leader, in which it is obvious that he has never run any kind of business and thinks he has discovered a break-through by buying in bulk.

Yep, buy in bulk.
Check tires.
Change oil regularly.
Wear sweaters (when cold).
Collect rainwater.
Plant Victory Garden.
Save fat (lard) to reuse.
Resole shoes.
Darn socks.

Am I missing any cost savings measures?

According to my calculator, $100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Dollars) divided by $3,600,000,000,000 3.6 TRILLION Dollars) is 0.00278%. Translated into numbers that people can understand and use, that is a reduction of $2.78 on a total spending budget of $100,000. So if each of us save $2.78 for every $100K we spend, we can be just as efficient as the Obama Administration, assuming the Obama Administration can actually accomplish the stated goal.

Funny how that comparison has not made it to any of the media coverage I have seen on this spending reduction the administration is talking about.

My dad always saved the grease from frying bacon. It was put in the skillet for popcorn (decades before microwave popcorn.)

This should work great...unless government employees are the type that tend to steal or lose bulk supplies. It that case, it would be a disaster.

ROFL My husband’s business has three employees, and even WE know to save money by purchasing in bulk. OMG what do the next 3.75 years have in store for us??? If the late night comedians weren’t all the tank 100% for Zero, they’d never run out of material.

Don’t forget, he’s also going to go through that budget line by line...never mind that there’s no line-item veto.

You would think there were more pressing matters to attend to rather than how the FedGov purchases office supplies. I mean really....
