Yeah, and that other thread sounded like a mirror image of the DUmmies with their BDS. Only now, some of us have it. Barack Derangement Syndrome.

I wasn’t going to say anything on these threads until I saw your post.

I saw a number of gentlemen on the rooftop of a building where I was at and they were taking crowd photos.

I said to my husband, “Oh look honey they’re taking photos. Isn’t that nice?”

We had a good time at our SmallTown USA Tea Party.

"Yeah, and that other thread sounded like a mirror image of the DUmmies with their BDS. Only now, some of us have it. Barack Derangement Syndrome."

The extreme left and the extreme right are flip sides of the same extremist coin.

"One of the most important elements of paranoia is how it affects cognition. In other words, it is not just the content of the paranoid mind, but its process, which is troublesome.

That is, the paranoid mind engages in a caricature of thought, in which they carefully scan the environment for confirmation of the paranoid thought or idea.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with intelligence. For example, Noam Chomsky is probably a genius, and yet, if you read his works, he certainly comes across as a clinical paranoid. All of his considerable intelligence is marshalled in the effort to confirm his preordained paranoid beliefs, in an absolutely closed loop. In turn, Chomsky becomes the intellectual axis around which other, far less intelligent paranoids of the Daily Kos variety orient themselves through the magic of his authority.

Every clinician knows that you cannot argue with a paranoid. Doing so immediately raises their paranoid defenses, and they will simply incorporate you into their delusions. Free to be Paranoid

"One of the hallmarks of paranoia is that the paranoid individual becomes inordinately frightened of the object into which they have projected their paranoia. That is, paranoia is fundamentally an infantile defense mechanism through which the "bad" or unwanted content of one's own mind can be displaced and located elsewhere, so that one may gain a spurious sense of comfort and safety. ..... In fact, the further leftward you travel, the more it becomes the central organizing principle of [your] political life: projection of hatred and a near delusional fear of backlash. ..." Paranoia runs deep-into the left it will creep.
