Gov. Mark Sanford drew the biggest ovation during the Columbia Tax Day Tea Party rally for his stance opposing $700 million in federal aid unless the state pays off an equal amount of debt.
Organizer Britton Clark told the crowd "Thank God for officials like Gov. Mark Sanford," Clark said. "They have been reviled, they have been mocked by the media for doing the right thing."
