C'Mon, Rush, Three Hours Of "Thanking The Most High Obama For Pirate Kill And Rescue?"

I have been a semi faithful student of Rush's EIB Institue since the early nineties, or earlier. I value Rush as the magna cum laude proxy leader of the Republican Party, because there ain't anybody else around qualified to do it. However, Rush's OOCD Obsessive Obama Compulsive Disorder is getting a little boooooring, even as I admit Obama is quite Obsessive - about himself. Were Obama's kids required to name their new dog "BO?"
Aren't those BO's initials?

I do not approve of President Obama, and I do not say we must "respect the office of the President," no matter who is sitting in the White House, but lately, I can listen to the first five minutes of Rush's program and pretty much know what will be discussed for the next three hours - Most High Obama stack of stuff stuff.

The heroics of the Navy Seal snipers which liberated the American skipper were overwhelmed by R.L.'s railing against Barack Obama's personal Driveby Press which was giving the glory to O and not to the brave sailors. I got it, but I could not bear to keep getting the same for three hours!

There are so many crucial issues now on the table which could be addressed, and hammering Obama's glory will not get'r done. Submitted as a friendly reminder, only, below are some Urgent Talking Points that will fill up those three hours in a much more productive way. Thanks for acknowledging these, Rush.

I know the following issues may not be Rush Level, but it would be nice if he would more thoroughly discuss the issues that the O and the Dem Congress is rushing through the legislature:

OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING BILL (HR 875)
NORTH KOREAN EMP MISSILE LAUNCH
RON PAUL VOTED BEST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE (BY NPR)
RICK WARREN APOLOGIZES TO GAYS FOR BEING PRO PROP 8
NEWER FEDERAL LAWS ENCOURAGING 'NO RIGHT TO WORK LAWS AS ENCOURAGED BY BIG LABOR UNIONS
REPUBLICANS NEEDING TO FILIBUSTER ANTI-GOD FEDERAL JUDGE NOMINEE DAVID HAMILTON
ENVIROMENTALISTS FIGHTING BAKKEN OIL AND OTHER EXPLORATION AND DRILLING
OBAMA SLASHING DEFENSE SPENDING
HYPING TEA PARTIES
REEMERGENCE OF BRUTAL COMMUNISTS IN NICARAGUA AND OTHER COUNTRIES SOUTH OF MEXICO
FIGHTING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE
SENATE REJECTING ABORTION CONSCIENCE RIGHTS FOR MEDICAL PEOPLE
GIVE ALAN KEYES SOME AIR TIME. THIS MAN IS REAL
OBAMA PUSH TO LEGALIZE 12 MILLION PIRATES AND OTHERS
PARENTAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT
BILL DENYING FED FUNDING OF SANCTUARY CITIES
SUPPORT BELIEVER STAND UNITED
SUPPORT GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA'S DRIVE TO ARM CITIZENS WORKING FOR THE PUBLIC
GAYS DRIVE TO INFILTRATE THE MILITARY
STATE SOVEREIGNITY MOVEMENT
OUSTING U.S. UNIVERSITY PROFS
DEFEAT FEDERAL MOTHERS ACT
DEAL WITH IRAN'S REFOUND NUCLEAR CAPABILITY
FOOD SAFETY MODERNIZATION ACT - FOOD POLICE

MINUTEMEN STILL ON DUTY 7/24
TEXAS RESOLUTION 50 FOR SOVEREIGNITY

All of the talk show hosts have the job of blabbing for three hours.

When you cut out all the commercials and newsbreaks, it's not nearly as long as that. You've got top and bottom of the hour news, plus commercials. I'm guessing it's something like maybe 90 minutes of actual content. If that.

Is it me, or do you think the commercial time has gone from about twenty minutes an hour to about twenty-five recently?

It’s a lot. He always times it so he goes to break at 10 before the hour or so, then comes back just long enough to say be right back, then more commercials, top of the hour news, then he’s back at after the hour. So he basically milks that whole 20 minute stretch or so.

Yes, I know what he was doing. There was no need to do it for three hours.

I agree. I normally keep him on for the full three hours, but today I had to turn him off twice. I had my fill of his 'illustrating absurdity by being absurd' theme and shut off his show. 45 minutes later, I tuned in again and heard him still beating the same drum. Off he went for a second time--this time for good.

I didn't need to hear his moronic callers today. We know that there are many dim bulbs out there. I don't need to be reminded ad nauseam.

I'd like to see him take some time off and allow Mark Steyn and Walter Williams to fill in for him.

Rush’s point of today’s show was alluded to twice, once at the beginning of the show and once in hour three. If there were more later, I haven’t finished listening. But the point is:

IF THE PIRATES OF SOMALIA ARE SO EVIL FOR DEMANDING ONLY TWO MILLION DOLLARS RANSOM AND

IF THE PIRATES ARE SO EVIL THAT THEY ARE WORTHY OF DEATH,

THEN HOW MUCH MORE AWFUL ARE OUR CONGRESSMAN AND OBAMA FOR DEMANDING A TRILLION-DOLLAR RANSOM FROM US, AND

WE’RE NOT GOING TO EVER BE SET FREE FROM OUR PIRATES OF DC?

I’m a 24/7 Rush subscriber and usually paint (artist) while listening to Rush, but lately I have had to switch to listening to music. My husband and I even used to listen to an hour of Rush during supper through his site sometimes, but we sure can’t now. The level of stress seems too high and continuous. The callers have gotten strangely clueless also. I thought it was just my impression things were getting out of hand until I saw your post just now. It would probably help Rush if he took your list seriously and climbed back down and got calm again. But for now, for me, at least, it’s Allison Kraus and Union Station cd’s for the sake of my landscapes!

I’m a 24/7 and listen to the podcast each evening ... just turned if off after the first hour and a half. I know he “says” he was “on” today ... but that was the weakest show I’ve ever heard him give ...(yes I understood the sarcasm) ... it was a waste of my listening time. ... and I’m a big fan. Hey, we all have an “off” day now and then.

You know, I have to admit, I listen to Rush and get his point most of the time, when I don’t I stay patient and usually I’ll figure it out, with the help of fellow freepers.

There’s been a handful of times I can remember when Rush’s show got so BOOOOORING that I tuned out. I love El Rushbo to death, but this show was forgetful. 3 hours of it was too much to bear.

He could be trying to get us off our butts and join the Tea Parties. He’s mentioned them a couple of times last week. Maybe he wants to get out there by being boring? I know. It’s a stretch....

It was a great 1/2 hour bit that went too long.

I caught some of it during my lunch break and I compared it to NBA basketball where the home team is not getting the foul calls and the road team is getting away with murder, the crowd gets angry, starts chanting Refs Suck! and once the refs finally call a foul against the road team, the home crowd bursts into long sarcastic cheers.

That’s how I see what Rush did today.

Rushbo was at his best back in the Clinton era ... my take, his heart isn't in it anymore. His ever increasing absence from his show is one indicator ... his lack of preparation is another indicator. You can call me an AH ... bottom line, I've been listening to Rushbo since the early 1990's ... he's only a shadow of his former self.

Rush was simply making the whole business of Obama playing at being President into an absurdity.

Thanks heard him for a short time on the car radio. I thought that he had gone over to the dark side. Glad to know he is still the same Rush.

the media/administration will use this great Obama victory over the dangerous Pirates of Somalia (who posed a strategic threat to the United States)to boost his approval ratings in the polls...

That is a given, and yes it will be bad for the nation.

I heard most of the first hour, and agree it was somewhat offkey. Two more hours of the same would have wearied me.

I don’t see it quite like you do. He had his hearing during BJ and he didn’t have a substance abuse problem.

My favorite now is Levin. we’ve got many more to choose from these days, the 90’s were basically Rush/Coulter/Drudge. If you get your favorite, of course Rush will seem to have lost his edge. He’s got healthy competition these days.

I get the podcasts, and they’re between 34 and 38 minutes. It’s everything except the bumper music and song parodies. So, he actually talks somewhere between 104 and 116 minutes a show, a little less than two hours.

Success has rendered Rushbo fat, dumb, hearing impared and happy. He flies around on his corporate jet to golf outings & speaking engagements. He has life by the short hairs & his show is simply an inpedentment to his relatively new & much loved lifestyle.

I know he does “tongue in cheek” sometimes and I can detect it. He sounded serious today. I don’t appreciate if he is tricking us. We have too much at stake.

He also had a strange segment bashing the “self-esteem movement.” What is that? Is it really so bad to give or receive validation? I don’t think so.

Hope Rush is not having a meds problem. He’s had so many absences lately and has put on alarming weight.

Woo hoo, another Alison Krauss fan here. I’ve been listening more to favorite CDs than talk radio also.

I’m glad Rush did a crummy show this a.m. because I was about to send in the moolah and now I can save it.

What did you think of Rush’s show today devolve? I’ve seen three threads about it and at first didn’t realize he was being sarcastic in his comments.
