All right, the analogy is likely very ridiculous. I just really wanted to use the term Waterloo and also, I couldn't think of a better metaphor. That said, a couple days back it appears that President Obama bowed to King Abdullah. Let's go to the video tape.

Now, watch the story start to change a few times.I expect them to say any minute now that the President dropped his car keys... or maybe his secret Blackberry (the one with the nuclear codes).

I just scanned Ben Smith’s blog on this and it has 2600 plus comments. He usually has 30-100 comments. That maybe an anecdotal piece of evidence but I do believe there is a lot of pent up interest in this story, and it comes out when reported.

The MSM and even some conservative pundits have compared the BOW to GWB leading the shaky King by the hand and the traditional double cheek air kiss.
It is painfully OBVIOUS that a BOW is SUBSERVIENT, while leading someone by hand IS NOT & a double cheek air kiss is a WELCOME GREETING.
While I wouldn't give the Saudi King the time of day much less traditional greetings and the kindness that GWB gave him, I certainly understand the difference between that and what BHO did.
These points are LOST on dolts like Bill O'Reilly and all of the MSM pundits.

I know we have some tremendous PhotoShop / Gif editor talent here at FreeRepublic. Someone needs to memorialize the moment with a small, memory efficient gif file of the Obamessiah's kowtow.

I don’t know why you brought O’Reilly into this. Blaming Bush for every Obama failure has already lost most of its effectiveness. I don’t much care what Bush did. He isn’t president. I, myself, am not even necessarily that concerned with the bow, as long as he understands that he was wrong. What concerns me is the denial. Once the WH begins to lie, that is when things become very problematic.
I would also say that there are a lot of folks downplaying the importance of the story, and yet, this is the most viewed, most commented, story by far.

Sorry, lol, you cannot save him now....too many witnessed the video.
Including the Washington Times:
Press outlets have been conspicuously silent on Mr. Obama's bow. Compare this to the New York Times' reaction when former President Bill Clinton inclined a bit too far when meeting Japanese Emperor Akihito in 1994. According to the Gray Lady, "The image on the South Lawn was indelible: an obsequent president, and the Emperor of Japan." Former President George W. Bush received thorough press attention after being photographed holding hands with then-Crown Prince Abdullah in 2005. "It clearly strikes a nerve," CBS News reported, while David Letterman satirized Mr. Bush as "officially the gayest president since Lincoln." These two cases were tame compared to Mr. Obama's full-out genuflection, which makes us wonder why it is not worthy of comment.

Bush was meeting with the Saudi, while at the same time killing headchoppers worldwide...for 7 years.
Hussein was genuflecting to Islam's king while he is letting terrorists go, kissing Iranian arse, and telling Israel to stand down.
To: wardaddy
He did not bow.
The king spit out his gum & told o to pick it up.
To: indylindy
OK so he bowed to him, maybe we can get some cheap oil out of the thing. I don’t care if he kissed him on both cheeks as long as we can get affordable gas. Obami aint goin’ to drill anyplace but the American pocket book—so we got to bow low to get the gas we need without usetting the InViroMentalists who run things now.

lol...that’s pretty funny.....

I don’t care. Bush isn’t president. Obama can’t spend the entire campaign claiming Bush is horrible and then justify his own actions by saying Bush did it too. That is absurd. The president must explain why he bowed.

Love that song, and in this case it REALLY fits well.
