One of the great sports traditions in America begins on Thursday, when The Masters gets underway at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. No tournament has the tradition and sense of awe that The Masters inspires. The course has a lot to do with that. Here is a video look at some of the key holes on the back nine that always figure prominently in the outcome of The Masters. As the week goes on, we'll post some video of a few of the great moments in Masters history . . . . . . . (Watch Videos)

I would love to walk National some day....
My next door neighbor went to the Masters last year.
He said it was by far the best run, organized sports event to which he’s ever been .
When we transferred from New Hampshire to Georgia my wife, an accountant, worked for the same company as me but in different offices about 20 miles apart. I worked in a manufacturing facility with a lot of engineers and maintenance techs. Anyway I would call my wife on the phone during lunch for a chat and one day she mentioned that a salesman had come through her office with some tickets to give away. My wife looked at them, shrugged and passed them on to a friend who also passed them on. This went on until they went through the department and made their way back to the salesman, who left with them. I asked what the tickets were for and she said some golf tournament in Augusta. I told that to my coworkers and they almost had to call in EMT’s.
It would be wonderful just to walk the course. I totally agree!
Where else can you get a cold beer and a great sandwich for less than $5 in the world of modern sports? Not at the new Yankee Stadium-those suckers
I am heading home early Wednesday morning for my 32nd year of azaleas and golf history. It is a must.
