If the Dems succeed in making themselves the party that steals from The Rich and gives to The Non-Rich, then no amount of talk about liberty or freedom from government is going to stop the mass of non-producers from voting D from now on.
I grow weary of Rush's endless defense of fat cats when the fat cats themselves have betrayed capitalism. The very business class we've spent so much time defending is running to the government with hands out, saying 'Me, too!' to the bailout money, stings-attached and all.
However bad he was, McCain wouldn't have been THIS bad. Even so, neither he nor Palin nor any other Republican "leader" I can see is capable of overcoming the Left, which controls the MSM. (When people tell me about FOX, I tell them to look at the numbers FOX gets--a few million in a nation of a quarter billion.)
Any doubt one has about this will be erased by looking at Barney Frank, one of the architects of this mess, who is known as a defender of The Little Guy because of his hide-in-plain-sight approach.
Not trying to bring anyone down, but I can easily see myself withdrawing from even being concerned about all of this, and just living day to day as best I can, trying to make my way through life, keeping a low profile so the troglodytes who are being ennobled by this bizarre administration won't kill me. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood tonight.
Alot can change in a short period of time and he’s just getting started. Some of the shady things they’ve been doing will start to come out. It reminds me of the Nixon administration in some ways. Just when he thinks he’s the most powerful thug in the country, some BS he pulls will inevitably come out and bite him in the arse. That’s just the way our political system works, and I think it’s something the framers intended to be one of those invisible checks on power.
You're not alone.
