The point of the gift to another head of state is to a) give something personal, b) represent the country, c) give something that has value.
The ipod is a) a consumer item the Queen could well have bought on her own, b) not manufactured in the USA, c) has little value other than being a consumer item.
It was badly thought out. Who the heck is the protocol chief because they are screwing up royally.
No pun intended.
Look, it is impossible for the Obamas to give the queen anything of historical value from America.
Why? Because they value nothing about American history or the American experience.
They hate America, totally and completely.

I don’t blame Zero or Michelle. I remember a certain person at 24 who was thrust into the WH scene without preparation and had a nervous breakdown just looking at the silver settings at the WH dinner. (No, not I.)
